    I only recently discovered your channel and I am really enjoying it but this video in particular because this was the first barbie I ever owned. I had begged my mother to let me have a barbie and she finally agreed on the condition that I only play with her when my father was not around. And so began my lifelong relationship with Barbie. I don't have that Original standard Barbie any longer but it was so cool to see her again after so many years. Thank you so much.

    Luckily, I didn't have to do too much with the TNT I bought recently. Just wash her and comb her hair. I really like how her hair turned out. Mint, her flip hairstyle has way too much of a flip. Mine looks more natural like how my hair looks when I wear the flip hairstyle. She was cheaper then what a reproduction sells for.

    May I suggest that you try cleaning pen and marker stains with rubbing alcohol? Most inks are created with an alcohol base so, scientifically speaking, rubbing alcohol should emulsify it. I've treated some of my own dolls that had old marker on the face. I covered the stain with a cotton pad dipped in rubbing alcohol and wrapped the area in plastic. Half a hour later the ink wiped right off. The good thing is that the alcohol won't react with the doll paint and if it doesn't remove the stain, it will wash off cleanly. Any residue evaporates leaving the vinyl clean and safe for what ever treatment you want to try next. (alcohol also works to get ink stains out of fabric)

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great tip for superficial staining removal, but the ink had seeped into the vinyl and needed something a bit stronger to get the stain out

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The hair color is tricky. If they’re a light color they will most likely take on the pink. The dark ones don’t.
      Whereas for the makeup, you could try a few layers of cheap varnish, the water will soften it in the end and you can just peel it off, but it doesn’t always work

    • @DoeDeerWonderland

      That's a tough one, unfortunately sometimes it's either green or lighter spot 😅 you can't fully predict how the chemicals react.

    I heard in the my little pony restoration community that a lot of people were moving away from benzoyl peroxide because some people experienced problems after some time. Instead people typically use the hydrogen peroxide cream in the form of hair developer and I haven’t heard of any long term negative effects from its use. All of these methods are relatively new so I guess we still have yet to see how these things will look over time but that’s what I’ve heard in my restoration research process. Hope that helps (and that the stories might be wrong)

    • @DoeDeerWonderland
      @DoeDeerWonderland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From what I know it's always been a staple with doll restorers, even people who have been doing it for over 20 years never seemed to have any problems with it.
      From what I read the problem might lie in the unnatural colored vinyl which discolors faster? Idk not really an expert on toys outside of the fashion doll realm but yeah it hasn't given me or anyone I know any problems (yet) haha

    Avevo visto da altri tutorial con l'uso della crema per l'acne, ma avevo letto commenti che la sconsigliavano perché dopo un po' tempo la plastica si rovinava "ammuffendo" o diventando estremamente gialla. Purtroppo non so dirti in che proporzioni era stata usata la crema, o se era una crema più corrosiva rispetto a quella che usi tu, ma ogni tanto le darei un occhio, onde evitare problemi per progetti futuri 😉
