My only problem with Korra is that the team didn't feel like friends. Korra never learned from them only using them to progress the plot.

No one hates LOK because it's not ATLA. It's because ATLA had entire episodes dedicated to ONE CHARACTER'S development and really dug deep into all of their traumas, flaws, strengths, and personal beliefs.
The show said Bolin and Mako were orphans AND street rats AND Mako had to raise a kid while being a kid and then NEVER talked about it again. Almost like it just didn't happen. Asami found out her life was a lie but we NEVER see just how badly that's affecting her. I'm glad Korra got *something* towards the end of the series, but every other character felt super under developed.
Same with relationships. It never felt super developed aside from everyone crushing on Korra. Nickelodeon really screwed this one up.

It felt so rushed - everything had to end really fast and then the next season everything was forgotten and you didn't hear about the old plots anymore.
Or they could have made every season last twice or thrice as much. I think everyone will agree we would have watched them.

A creator said he was surprised when Korra wasn't allowed to fail as much as Aang... One is a 12 year old kid who was scared to become the avatar and had to learn everything in a year. Korra knew with 3 that she's the avatar and could already control 3 of the 4 elements. And she had it way easier to get to learn because of peace in the world compared to Aang, who was afraid of getting captured everywhere or killed. So yeah, why would Korra get less support when she failed😂(still a great show)
Both of them had their own struggles, y'all are just biased. Korra has been training rigorously since she was a _toddler_ under strict supervision and barely even had friends. Meanwhile Aang was revered just about everywhere he went, only trained for less than a year and still found time to relax and goof off. They're not at all the same.
@marktwayne9796 they're not the same, and that was made pretty clear from the very beginning. But as you said: korra was trained her whole life and struggled so hard on so many levels. Ang knew he was the avatar for a year (or 101 but wasn't conscious for 100 of them) before he had to fight the firelord one of the most powerful benders in the world and it was against him with a powerboost. Aang wouldn't have won against amon when he was 13, but who knows if he'd win at 16-18 like korra. And he would contact his former life not like korra who didn't know how to do it at all

It's not about boring or not, it was just written badly. There were a lot of plotpoints that were horrible. I have a feeling that the reason is bc they didn't have their main writer from atla anymore.
