Regardless of how any of you feel about Timbaland, he still had a giant hand in crafting these songs. In music, it takes two to tango; Husband and wife. Singer and producer. That's just how it is. He helped her, just as Missy did, during a time where she & her career/brand needed it the most due to obvious reasons. So, there can never be a "No Timbo" version for this, OIAM, MTAW, or any of those tracks he produced, 'cause then, the soul of the tracks are gone.

I would say she was a close friend or true friend as well, but I once heard how Ginuwine said both Timbo and Missy had fallen out with Aaliyah (There is a video by Tony Turner I guess). But to be honest I‘m not sure who is right or wrong. Also maybe if Aaliyah could’ve lived longer I‘m pretty sure they would’ve eventually reconciled. Therefore I think we can include Missy and also Dame Dash as her true friends. But if you know more about something I mentioned, please let me know 👍🏼
