I Made an Multi-Award Winning Mead Recipe

So I stole an award winning, mazer cup mead recipe and made it for myself! I took Nathan Zangmeister’s Black Locust traditional mead recipe and made it! This mead recipe won awards at The Mazer Cup, Valkyrie’s Horn and Mead Stampede. I was lucky enough to get a bottle from Nathan and I really enjoyed getting to try and make it. I made this mead in two ways - I made “my version” and “his version”. The only difference is that I used Fermaid O in mine.
Here’s the recipe:
2.5 Pounds of Black Locust Honey
Water Up to 1 Gallon
5 Grams of WLP 715
My Version: Add 1/2 tsp of Fermaid O
Top off with Water after Primary
