I'm pretty sure that because both Ponix and Barong's grave effects are spell speed 1, and the trigger is not a specific thing, just at any point in the standby, they cannot be chained to one another. So you'd do Ponix chain one, then once it resolves and an open game state occurs, then Barong triggers. No chains.
@Foxller2727 no limit to a chain, And you can't interrupt a chain that is being built with trigger effects hense the term chain blocking. An example of this would be if you sent 2 cards to the GY and bith thise cards say "if this card is sent to the GY search out x" You the person that sent them builds the chains so whatever you make as chain link 1, can't be ashed, but chain link 2 can. Does that make sense?
Thanks man. I got 3 kings deck haven't played since like 08 and going to local tourney to practice some of this stuff lol. Been watching your vids for 3 days
Very good video! Also I have a question: Will you release a video with Fire King/Dogmatika or more especiallu Fire King/Tri-Brigade? Hello everyone, I have a question regrading trigger effects from hand and graveyard: Can I activate the two trigger effects (one from the graveyard and one from the hand) to special summon monsters. Example: I am playing Fire Kings. I have Garunix Etenity on my field and Rangbali in my hand. I activate Dark Hole and Garunix Eternity is destroyed. Now there are two trigger effects here: 1. Garunix Eternity: If this card is destroyed while it has material: You can Special Summon "Fire King" monsters from your GY, up to the number of materials this card had. 2. Rangbali: If a face-up "Fire King" monster(s) you control is destroyed by card effect (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card from your hand. In this scenario, can I use both Garunix Eternity effect to summon monsters from graveyard AND special summon Rangbali from my hand?
1:20 bro ponix and barong doesn’t generate chains. You decide which you activate fists and wait for your opponent to respondo. You can’t chain block barong
Thank you for the clear explanations. This is easy to understand, and I need this. Btw, I would like to ask. Once this deck became meta, would D.D. Crow became a staple to stop this deck? If so, is there a way to dodge it and keep doing the combos?
ahm you cant chainlink anything regarding ponix and barong in the graveyard to prevent ash because they both are trigger effects and not quick effects. they both start a sepparate "chain" from each other.
I'm confuse. You use fire king island to destroy ponix to add garunix to your hand. Then you summoned garunix because a fire monster was destoryed. But garunix must already be present in the hand/gy to summon himself yeah?
Only needs to be present in the GY if summoning from the GY. Because the effect is an if effect and Island isnt cost it works the same as Gazel in Salamangreats and will summon on the new chain.
Sorry bro, for my knowledge you can NoT resummon "Garunix Eternity" by his effect if it dies . Reason : "The text in parentheses is reminder text. You cannot activate a trigger effect in the graveyard if the card was not there when the trigger happened. You can activate an “if” trigger effect in the hand as long as the trigger was met in the previous chain/event (with exceptions) Garunix is not in the graveyard when it is destroyed on the field/in the hand so it cannot trigger."
Im not sure I follow. Garunix Eternity has the effect that "if this card is destroyed...." so if it gets destroyed on the next chain you would activate this effect to summon back monsters from the GY equal to the number of materials it had, dosent say anything about it not being able to bring itself back.
@@zephyrwargamesyugioh so that means he is able to summon himself back ? Therefor the effect activates on the field as soon as he is destroyed. On that stage the monster is not in the grave yet. Would mean he can choose only monsters that are in the grave when he dies ?

Destroyed is the important part, so you resolve either the battle or for example raigeki. Keep in mind "if" effect trigger on a new chain. So opp activates raigeki, Resolves destroying Garunix which at the time had 1 material lets say. On the next chain Garunix now in GY will activate its effect as it had 1 material when raigeki destroyed it. It can now choose to bring back any 1 Fire king from GY even itself.
Ponix and barone activate and resolve separate from one another even though they both trigger in the standby phase. Just an fyi brother love all your content.
Trigger Effects that are not triggered by a specific event, but rather by a particular period of time, such as the Standby Phase, can be activated when the player has the right to perform an action and only during an open game state. This means that they can only ever be activated as Chain Link 1. In this regard, their function is more similar to Ignition Effects (except that they are activated outside the Main Phase) as the player can choose at which point during that time to activate the effect. Examples include "Fire King High Avatar Garunix" and "Scarm, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss".
The idea is that you wouldn’t get OTKed bc you have enough interruption turn 1 to live another turn and win on the crack back with big bodies. If not, you out grind with resource loops in a simplified game state
