unpopular opinion but I liked the gimmick. it had that bizarre goldust creeper vibe to it. I would have liked to see other women be the dominatrix valet after shaniqua. christy, luna vachon, rhaka kahn, shelly martinez, april hunter.
Doug Basham (and The Damaja too, for that matter) both deserved sooo much more. They were safe in the ring, technically sound, reliable, and were constantly improving. Unfortunately it seemed like every midcard guy from OVW (other than Shelton) got saddled with career killing gimmicks. You had the mentally challenged wrestling savant, the S&M subs, the male cheerleaders, and the French sympathizer turned Buff Bagwell ripoff. Out of all those guys Nick Dinsmore got the most over, but the Eugene gimmick had a short shelf life.
They were used as filler & the dumb fans couldn't see it. I liked Rob Conway when he became like buff bagwell in 2005, he had an amazing finisher, but typically the wwe had no future potential vision for him
I loved Shaniqua she had a lot of potential, had she not been so green and trained more extensively and played the game in WWE she could have easily gone so far...her promos were great she definitely had it when the floor was hers, loved the segments with her and The Basham Brothers it was one of my favourite parts of Smackdown during their run
She was a beast, I agree she could have been massive. She was ahead of her time, she was a huge scary woman. Could have been the new Chyna. Imagine Shaniqua v Nia, Raquel, Ronda, Beth Phoenix etc.
Doug's t shirt is great btw Miles I got a soft spot for her as she was tall as hell, built like a monster and fit the role of an imposing manager like Chyna well in the Divas Era in full swing.
Bashams were big on SD in the early 2000s pretty much the last great era of tag team wrestling with The World's Greatest Tag Team, Los Guerreros, Angle and Edge and Rey Rey etc...
Those guys really made Smackdown the "wrestling show" while Raw was the WWE's entertainment show. That kind of held true for a decade, but with those names you mentioned it was solidified.
Underrated tag team that a whole lot of people sleep on where a good team and never understood wwe need to break teams up and when they got sent to different brands yeah a shame really
Bashams our in my Mount Rushmore of tag teams. I loved the twin thing so alot of the time you never knew who was danny and who was doug, thought that was unique. They were at their peak with Shaniqua tho, I loved how she basically controlled them with her sexuality and dominant presence, which was also extremely unique. Its a shame it only lasted for a like a month, i thought they all had a great gimmick together.
@@youtubemember1115 both teams were tag champs so your opinion doesn't change there in tne history books I liked french gimmick Not so much then bashams but they did there job right Wwe failed any long term tag teams during those years
@@Jetup24 They didnt go anywhere BECAUSE of that gimmick. Granted, without it, the Bashams were quite bland but im sure the creative department could had thought up something better
I miss the Basham brothers so much. One of my favorite tag teams ever! Not only talented, but they were both very handsome too!

Eugene could have gotten over more if he kept winning. I think it could have had a longer run.
Nah they sucked
Shaniqua was a better name than Laquisha tbh.

Linda Miles was a significant contributor for some really good RU women's bball teams

She's a college basketball referee and has a great career and life.
Linda Miles was awesome!!!
They said she was horrible wrestler
Man these vids saved me, i've been sick with covid feeling like $#!+, and i just put these videos on and rest to take my mind off the bullshit

Interesting no wonder why she did the whip part lol 😆
Damn she was clobbered by rikishi
Lmao laquisha
I always thought they called her “Shaniqua” because it was the blackest name they could think of.
I feel like she just wasn’t feeling the politics… said what she had to say and then got fired
What about Britney Spears?
linda miles should've been repackaged with the martial arts fighting gimmick
Rikishi hitting girls lol
WWE Creative at work 🤣😂🤦♂️
Can’t lie hated this gimmick lol
I loved to hate on them haha
That whole S&M gimmick was a career killer. The Bashams were great workers. They didnt deserve to be sent out there in gimp masks and ball gags
They wouldn't of gone anywhere without the dominatrix gimmick. It was the correct choice for bashams
