Nice one. Loxton was thirsty! I did head out last Saturday but didn't get any Pike. Popped on some tiny lures and caught a few little Perch to save the blank 😉
Hi Craig. It’s the GoPro 5 so old technology now. I carry 2 128gb cards with me and about six batteries. Three of those batteries do about 2 hours and the rest do 1 hour. It’s a lot of batteries but in the summer I can be out for a long time, especially if I’m wild camping too. Just means a lot of footage to edit out!
@@WestCountryAngler I did similar when I first started, now I use looping mode and just save down the more interesting bits, I also use a battery pack now instead of the go pro batteries and this will give around 8 hours
Thanks. I’ll look into the battery pack. I tend to record everything as my audio is done separately. It’s easier to sync the video and audio up once and then edit them together.
@@WestCountryAngler yeah I tried that, ended up either having to record in 1080 or or having loads of footage I could not upload to edit due to memory. It’s a tough learning curve all this filming. You heading out with the fly rod anytime soon? Not sure if I told you but it was your videos that got me into fly fishing and recording them
I never knew that. I’m glad I could help you. I use the external audio as I often use a tripod when fly fishing and the go pro doesn’t pick it up at any distance. Also the wind noise can be too much. I’ll make sure I check out your channel!
The amount of raw sewage that gets pumped into the rivers these days, means that a glove is insurance against cuts and the risk of E coli, etc etc. I spent a week in hospital with sepsis in 2023, all due to a small cut on my finger .
I think There are two things in your life you never be late for,
Number one is prayer and Number two is fishing
Thanks for sharing this fishing.
I love that. Thanks for watching and for the comment 👍
Good to see Loxton catching a few. He's certainly grown.
He’s growing fast but I still see him as a small puppy! Thanks for watching

I should give that a go too as apparently there are some decent chub there. Thanks for watching 👍
Great vid bro 🤘🏻🎣 ..... the fox rage fire tiger and bleak are awesome soft baits 🔥
I love the fire tiger, I always have a few in 3 sizes as I’ve got such confidence in it. Thanks for watching and the comment. It’s appreciated 👍
Great videos, keep up the good work. i have subscribed!👍
Really appreciate that and thanks for watching 👍
Awesome video, out of interest have you ever given a shot at catching pike on the fly on the levels?
Hi, it's on my list of things to do. I've got a few lines so I need to give it a go. Thanks for watching
Enjoyed that one, are you using a GoPro? I have recently swapped over to looping mode on mine for fishing videos and have found it much better

Great video!, you should try fishing for salmon once, caught mine in the river carron Scotland
I’d love to try it. One day I will, it’s on the buckets list! Thanks for watching 👍
Nice video m8 , dunno if I'd have the patience to take a dog with me lol, just got a 8 wk old new english bulldog wife wants me to take him 🤣
Ha ha. I’m hoping in time he will calm down but he goes everywhere with me so I have to take him. Thanks for watching and good luck with the bulldog
Good video mate....can you send me a message on insta as I need some advice on spots!
There bigger fish than those in that stretch. Why the gloves to hold a pike though???? More hassle than they’re worth.
Hi. Just a personal preference and I’m hoping to get the bigger ones.... thanks for watching 👍
