It's been a long time since I've heard their music, I don't even have that much of their songs on my youtube playlist, but it's always nice to hear them again. Their vocals are always insane. 13:10 For what i've heard (theory/rumor) the reason Gfriend disbanded for some time was because of Min Heejin (NewJeans creator and producer)... NewJeans was supposed to debut under Source Music at that time and to focus on NewJeans they disbanded Gfriend (by Min Heejin recommendation) (this is actually true and not a rumor btw, NewJeans members were supposed to debut under Source Music and some of the members were source music trainees even before the HYBE acquisition of the label) Then because Bang Si Hyuk (HYBE chairman and BTS creator) and Min Heejin had some differences in concepts and music style for NewJeans (plus other stuff that happened in that time) MHJ decided to open a new label (ADOR) where she took the NewJeans members with her as CEO of this new label under HYBE practically to do whatever she wanted with NJ concept and promotions. Then Bang PD/HYBE to fill that NJ and Gfriend absence from Source Music he debuted LE SSERAFIM under Source Music. Now, that's the biggest theory of why Gfriend didn't renew contract with HYBE/Source Music.. Till now, they came back after some years, and coincidentally right? now that MHJ is no longer part of HYBE and doesn't have influence there Gfriend finally came back to promote under source music and making music again as a group. Take all that with a grain of salt, but for what we heard in the MHJ press conference, HYBE statements and the whole coincidence of the members returning now after MHJ left the company... is probably the closest we have to the truth of why Gfriend got separated for 4 years. The Gfriend members now in an interview said that the members didn't disband, and that they will now continue making music together for more years to come.
until it is proven in court all of it is just hearsay and theories anyway let's not spoil our gfriend girls comeback with fraudor/soushit/hybe controversy

It's just a guess. Nothing has been found to be true. I'm a buddy and we don't want to cause friction with other fandoms.
