Good question... answer: experience! When I first started out, I went with what I could afford, so I had a single Seismic Audio 500wt "18 and a set of SA "15 tops and later upgraded to a pair of SA 800wt "18 that did fine until issues with drivers and electronics etc, all the while, I originally started DJ'n at a club where I worked for 7 years and the club had these Peavey Pvxp "15 subs and not only were they more compact but these subs had been riden hard and put away wet by all types of DJ's with varying experience and week in and week out these things just performed and are still performing to this day. So, when u was able to afford them I sold off the SA gear and bought my matching Peavey set and haven't looked back. Been amazing quality just bullet proof solid and tough as nails...
@@DJMikeJames thanks for your feedback, I run a pair of JBL JRX 115 passive tops. And a pair of Mackie Srm1801 subs. I purchased all this used. I like it but do t love it.. just wondering what your experience with peavey has been. I know the company goes way back.. and we're top of the top.. back years ago.
Yes, they're compact performers... Peavey is an OG company that's been putting out quality products for decades that are not only affordable but effective and they have their Dark Matter line up, which I've been looking into, which also comes with an "18 sub option that you may be interested in looking into... These are my personal favorites and won't be changing any time soon!

Maybe... these are the factory sub poles that came with the system, unfortunately they're not adjustable, but work well with mist applications
