Same, beautiful car. But if you compare the new vantage to the vanquish, it feels a bit weird as its pretty much just a smaller version of the car. Less desirable imo because of it
I prefer the newer one personally, I don't know why but ever since the split head light design became mainstream, I feel Hyundai did the best job at it
This is something i've seen a lot, I do find the post facelift to look much better imo. This is also the first time I've seen so many people split on an Aston design haha
People hated the grill connecting to the bumper like it does on the 2018 that they offered a redesigned bumper for the 2021 models. New one all day long for me
I like the pre-facelift of the current AM Vantage as much as the next guy, but the one thing that always bothered me about it was the way that the trim surrounding the grille was sticking outwards from the front of the car when you looked at it from the side and so it looked like it had plumped-up lips. The facelift completely fixes this issue and I don't know how people don't see it as an improvement.
@@Torkyo4ASpinone thing that shocked me was how the panamera refresh looks better than the older one, both looks great but man the grs new one looks just as good. I donno how porsche does it.
Lexus enthusiast here: so excuse my lengthy paragraph. The IS even though current and as stated in the video didn’t really make much difference in sales for it’s facelift is a gem to me. I’ve been wanting one since 2021, the IS500 to be exact. Ever since that teaser video released and showcased the new sharp, conservative facelift with a intoxicating V8 my mind has only ever wanted one car. That goddamn 500. It has the right amount of HP, 4 doors, enough trunk & cabin space. All for
Thats so interesting honestly because I thought so many people felt the opposite way but to be completely honest, the new one doesnt seem unique to me anymore. A baby vanquish, which is literally the opposite of what a vantage is its sad
The Vantage is the odd one here. Because technically, you can get a smooth bumper for the pre facelift. I believe it’s called the vaned grille option. And just like the opinions between the facelift and pre-facelift, people are divided whether they like the original aggressive grille or the smoother vaned grille of the pre-facelift. I’ll say this, no matter which option, it still surprisingly works as a whole car. That’s really a testament of the car’s overall design.
The Vantage 100% looked better before the facelift. The separated, blacked out grille stands out and gives it supercar qualities, while the geometry of the bumper works together with the rest of the bodywork very well. The facelift design ruins this by adding the unimaginative side air vents, which makes the front fascia too wide and eliminates the front end taper (i.e. the car looks less pointy and aerodynamic than before). The space heater grille design simply doesn't look good on a car like this. Ferrari tried it with the F12 Berlinetta and let's just say that didn't go very well. Lastly, they absolutely did not have to ruin the headlights on the facelift like that. For me, not a single improvement was made aesthetic wise. I hope I was able to enlighten some of you.
I think the combi version of the Taycan is just beautiful, the rear headlight design like the 911, the front headlights like the 718… and its a family car!! 😅❤
The problem with the pre-facelift Vantage is the massive grill and tiny headlights, the facelifted looks basically like the One-77 which to this day is a beautiful car, and the third best looking Aston Martin from the 21st century after the DBS V12 and the first gen V8 Vantage
I can agree with Hyundai's part where they cars became really good looking. They Designer's are people who previously designed really nice cars. An example is the Designer of the Audi TT (Peter Schreyer) of the i30 series 3rd Generation.
Hey torkyo , your video's randomly comes in my suggestion feed , i watched more than 5 videos of your channel . And i like them all . Keep growing 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
4:13 i understand this is a matter of subjectivity but i dont like the new sonata, the design doesn't seem coherent at all, you have this plain looking front end that hides almost any feature in a sea of black below the lightbar then there's the rear end where which looks busy as hell, that stupid white color isn't doing it any favors either.
I found the aston to be great until it was pointed out that it just looks like a mini vanquish now. And to be honest that kinda ruins it for me as the vantage was always such a great car that was different from the others. The new interior though is lovely honestly
i can agree with most but the Vantage i feel didnt work as that front grill is just way to big and the headlights are just over-used throughout the entirety of the AM lineup, however when you look at the slightly larger grill on the previous Vantage V12, with the rear wing it was perfect... in my opinion tho...
Hey, you mentioned Hyundai Sonata, great! I mean, for the people knowing that that Sonata before the facelift, they called that car... a catfish, I think some white lines that goes from the headlight straight to the hood implies that. I'm just glad they just facelifted it really well, it looks as cool as Elantra N in my opinion! Oddly enough, though, it reminds me of Hyundai Grandeur/Azera. Nope, I'm not talking about the 2022 version(GN7), I'm talking about the 2020 version(IG). Just look at the 2016 version of Azera, it looked nothing more than 'Goofy ahh Dodge Charger' that day. About three years later, they decided to facelift into a beauty - A great mix of fururistic and elegant looking! Who knew that Hyundai wanted to cook themselves since 2020? Who knew that Hyundai wanted to go worldwide and jump into the motorsport just like they did in 1990s? Now you can also find out that some Hyundai cars have been added in Forza Horizon 5 and Gran Turismo 7. Also two Hyundai cars are there in CSR2. Oh, one more thing: Aston Martin Vantage is my most favorite one you mentioned... It looks like a successor version of One-77!
Hyundai is slowly becoming one of my favorite brands these guys are on a roll. And the N cars omg. I genuinely believe Hyundai was THE company in 2024. Growth, sales, cars, everything was perfect. Plus the prices you compare them to their competition, and soon you'll realize there really never was any competition to begin with. Where I live, Santa Fes cost 5-8K USD less than their main rival, the nissan pathfinder which is nuts because the tech difference is night and day. I agree with you about the catfish hahaha it really did, and the white lines look like the whiskers 🤣
You did change my mind on the 1st gen Panamera but the new Vantage is for me kind of a miss, it has lost his personality to just be a smaller db12 or vanquish (but on my pov the front grille is way too in your face) but yeah great video and that animation at 0:43 is crazy cool
Hey thats actually a point I never considered. It really does just look like a mini vanquish and if I'm seeing it like that, the cool factor goes down significantly. You just changed my mind on the Aston wtaf LMAO
The same could be said about the generation of Vantage that came before the 2018 model. It was the baby sibling to the DBS and second-gen Vanquish. It's obviously meant to tie in Aston's current design language which incorporates design elements that harken back to the One-77 and the Vantage, in my eyes, looks more like the One-77 than the DB12 and third-gen Vanquish.
I’ve always kinda hated how the One-77 looked compared to the other Aston’s of the 10s. I always preferred the slender eyed Aston’s of that era. To me, the pre-facelift vantage, despite the grille, was the last piece of Aston design that somewhat harkened back to it. None of the current 3 Astons do anything for me.
just FYI, V12 sound from the clip you posted is only possible with Gaydon era model, and aftermarket manifolds. Modern gen 5.2 V12 TT could not produce this sound.
G30 BMW. The pre facelift car is beautiful, but the facelift, honestly one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. Jaguar XF is also a good example.
I love the 2017 acura NSX, to me its nice and has more overall beauty then the Type-S, the type s does it the trendy way of just more lines and making it more aggressive, the NSX is not something thats supposed to look at aggressive
The new Aston looks almost like a Mercedes McLaren SLR with a big gaping Aston mouth. To me, the older one almost has a concept car look to it, very clean, little visual clutter, not trying to look tense and aggressive
The 2018 looks like a tesla roadster but with grilles (still looking fine tho🤤) The new one looks like a AM DB12 and Jaguar C-X75 sloshed together especially its headlights and rear
In my personal opinion, the Ferrari Roma needs an updated grill. literally EVERYTHING else about that car looks peak but the color matched grill just looks...bad. either color it black or give it a steel-bar mouth like the california, portofino, etc
The facelifted Vantage looks like someone took a cat and grabbed it by its ears. Looks so goofy. I prefer the old one. Which I think was based on the DB10 concept.

Facelift Vantage has more classical charm, which I tend to like more, but for some reason I really prefer the cooler/sleeker look of the pre-facelift.
New Vantage is literally a One-77 with less LED's in the headlights. That said, I quite like the One-77 look
