- Ever seen a person’s weapon and assumed something about how they play? Well, you’re not alone. In fact, most weapons in TF2 hold a certain stereotype. This series of videos aims to go over some of the most well-known weapon stereotypes in TF2.
Please keep in mind that I’m not saying that anyone who uses a certain weapon is a certain type of person. These videos are for fun. Sorry if I hurt your feelings or something.
This episode is all about the Engineer, who, despite having 11 PhD's or some shit like that, still can't make a sapper-proof sentry.

I always feel sad for Engi everytime his buildings get destroyed
like when he says
“Sentry down!”
He sounds like his best friend was killed
And he made the sentry from scratch (almost) by himself

I like to imagine that the AI for the sentry gun never dies, so I don't feel too bad when the sentry gets killed.
Imagin the hours days and weeks engi spends pre building the level one sentrys and dispencers. All the love he puts into it. Just for some demo to come and blow it up

Two mini dispensers would actually be interesting. You could place the two of them in areas commonly used by teammates in order to be more of a supportive role in the team. Then again people might just use one of the mini dispensers for themselves cause they’re greedy

Man, I wish there existed a Medieval Mode construction PDA with stuff like catapults to replace the teleporters (would function identically to the jump pads of custom servers), a fire pit that you can use to light arrows, ballistas (would act as a Huntsman-sentry hybrid that would be permanently wrangled, but with the catch that you must stay nearby for it to fire), etc.
There is so much wasted potential there.

I just wanted to share this. I know other people know it, but it's great.
If you have the widowmaker and eureka effect, then you can set a teleporter by the enemy spawn, constantly getting them from behind. This works best for attack-defend maps.
i love battle engineer, just the fact that you can rush with an annoying as hell sentry, an infinite ammo gun, and a backup pistol is amazing

Glad you made this series even for a joke, I main engie only in training cause I rage too easily against real players so this actually helped me come up with decent game play. I would love to see alternative PDAs with alternative buildings. Being able to replace your sentry with a second dispenser would be interesting, or even replacing both the sentry and the dispenser with a second pair of teleporters.

I personally use the mini sentries less as sentries and more like an alarm system. Baiting an enemy to try to destroy it only for me to ambush them from a completely different direction than the sentry is firing from.
If i'm using it with the frontier justice, I become the bait. Softening a target or two and leading them into the mini sentry to give it a couple kills. Then, i will manually destroy the mini sentry with the destruction PDA and waltz forth with my pistol, ready to swap suddenly to the Frontier justice and blowing someones head off!

I let someone in my family play tf2 on their account (family sharing). They played medic, used the blutsauger and then hit 95% of their shots at a distance of up to 25 metres and wrecked the entire enemy team. They got bored and found the game too easy. Some people can control the arc
Ihsan ingersoll Now , that's just a stereotype , I've seen a lot of Medics hitting me or other players with THE FULL CLIP. I myself don't have that much of control and knowladge to master the arc , but with some practice , anyone can atleast be able to scare away or defend themselfs.
@Ihsan Ingersoll: Of course you can control the arc of the Syringe Gun. Geez. You just have have to learn how to lead shots, to aim the syringes into the path of the running enemy, then it's a deadly weapon: up to 100 damage per second with all 10 syringes (or 120 at point blank range), able to fire 40 syringes in 4 seconds before having to reload, enough to kill a Heavy. I used to use my Syringe Gun a lot to kill Scouts steamcommunity.com/id/Crunchy_Frog/inventory/#440_2_2466631944 before I switched to Crossbow years ago.

The engineer with the shotgun doesn't need fancy shmancy ammo return mechanic, a healing bolt, or a laser bolt, or any kind of weird futurey shit, but he needs a Sentry Gun with a fucking boot that has electricity circling around it.

Actually, in my opinion, lv 3s are far more annoying on hightower, especially when they can fire at your battlements. Minis can be taken out easily if you have skill, or can at least by bypassed. Lv 3s... not so much.

I love the stock shotgun. Such a fun weapon. I literally semi-trolldier because I love the weapon so much (default soldier loadout is Rocket Jumper, Shotgun, Disciplenary Action). Only class I dont use the stock shotgun on is Pyro, but thats because the flare gun exists.
Medic's Vita-Saw: this player is a fan of Bioshock and is roleplaying a Little Sister.
Dragon 0380 big sisters don't use those though

Damn, this post is making me want to design a Bioshock promotional update. Rivet Gun secondary for the Sniper, Bioshock 1's canlauncher for Demo, Little Sister needle for Medic, and a Big Daddy cosmetic set for Heavy.
Dragon 0380 it's normal saw, really, REALLY fine if your team works well, and the amputator is fine too, the only reason why everybody use ubersaw is "the healing isn't as rewarding as a hurting".

There are three types of Gold Wrench Engineers:
The kind who got it when it was first dropping, and therefore probably have a pretty high amount of experience, someone who's a really good trader and also had a high amount of experience, and rich people who cheat the trading process.
I honestly use the rescue ranger in defensive engi to repair my sentry from my dispenser that I put there for my team and in battle engi the widowmaker is just so satisfying to hit your shots and placing minisentries

Weapon stereotypes make more sense for weapons, specially for engineer, because knowing their loadout helps you figure out how they're gonna try and play.

I honestly think the Texas Ten Gallon has a blessing in it that if you wear it in your main kit it immediately makes you 50x better because the moment I did so I got my first casual server Engineer god-like.

Yes, I use to be a Rescue Ranger Texan Builder Man who used this to make up for not dealing with Demos and Soldiers properly. But I have since reformed and just run stock.

I usually use the frontier, wrangler and gunslinger so I can go on the offensive with the mini sentry wrangled, then use the crits when it inevitably takes too much of a beating
I use the pomson just to get those occasional huntsman burning arrow hits, it almost never happens but when it does, it's hilarious
