In the first week of 7th grade a teacher came up to me during a test and said “I think your in the wrong class” and told me where to go instead and it was the special ed class, that teacher sent me back then the first teacher was just like “oh my bad man I wasn’t sure” I was like damn I really give off special vibes that quick 😂
And to so many boys who ended up in these classes not because they weren’t smart, but simply due to behavior issues that didn’t get the proper help needed. So many kids on IEP’s who just needed better equipped teachers😔
When you feel like you are not as smart as you think, just think to yourself how smart you really are and you will realize that you really are smarter than you don’t think you are.
I am 37 year old father of a 5 year old son who is non verbal autistic. Im here for the jokes all day but jokes aside that would be the day Tre would actually feel authentic love from those kids in his class. The teacher the real asshole in the situation and those kids still didnt judge him one bit. You dont get that love from the "normal kids". Good videos like always tho.
On god this almost happened to me hahaha. I was a major skipper in school. Like bad, 200 absences per semester at least. And one day during my sophomore year my counselor called me in to talk about my grades and attendance. I'm thinking it was another "you have to go to class or we are going to take you to truancy court." Yawn, they have threatened that 4 times already so I had a strategy for that. Go to school for a week ish and skip, then they would leave you alone for awhile. But this time was different, my counselor sits me down and starts talking about my grades. (I had like 2 credits in sophomore year, so wasn't looking good.) but I didn't care, not really. Until he started talking about switching schools to "help me get back on track." Now this is when I started getting fking scared. I was talking to a kid from one of my elective classes. Some type of computer crap. And he was cool, but he was a little... special ya know. But he was cool, so we was chatting and he said "aye man this going to be the last time you see me." I was surprised, that boy was always here so I asked him why. He said "oh, they transferring me to manor a school by...." I was like oh word, good luck with that and all that crap. But mentally I was like ok manor must be the slow school. Cool didn't know that. So later that day, when he talked about transferring schools my heart dropped. I was like oh I fked up. That was the first time I regretted blowing off all my classes and all the warnings. Boy I was ready to repent. I'm talking I would have been a straight A student valedictorian, perfect attendance student to not go there, they got me messed up. So I tell him kinda loud. "I'm not going to fucking manor, what I look like!" Then he looks at me strangely for a second and "oh heavens no, you not going to manor, you were in ap classes for gods sake. No it's a.... bro when I tell you I was so relieved. That was my only scared straight moment. Best motivation ever😂😂😂 if you need to motivate a kid messing around tell him if he don't act right you going to send him to slow school 😂😂😂 100% success rate.

You were in a class with normal kids who were just behind everyone else I had a class similar to that when my grades were dropping in my sophmore year which they called it “strategies for success”😂😂 It was a class where if we had unfinished homework from other classes we got to finish it in there or study. Basically overall a class where you’re catching up on your credits
This is insane because during 8th grade, I was accidentally placed into the “special education program,” because my old school refused to transfer my transcripts and academic records. So I was placed into the class, but tbh, it was super fun. People weren’t “dumb,” or “lacking of communication skills,” it was simply people who either had behavioral issues or ADHD/ Autism. Not children who were literal children who needed someone by them telling them what they’re reading to comprehend and communicate it. Made some cool friends at the time from that class and learned that the special educational classes aren’t as dumb as people might think. Edit: I wound up getting placed in the top academically advanced classes by quarter 2 and reached top 3 in my entire grade, and I wasn’t number 3 or 2. I also would go on to keep that rank during all of high-school but the same shit happened to me then.

Thats kinda what it felt like being dropped down a grade. i honestly dont know why but i was failing every test and hopelessly unable to learn the material. i felt so incredibly stupid and like everyone saw me that way, talking about mental conditions as i sat there feeling completely normal and beginning to think that maybe i wasnt. i had friends i could think and speak clearly, i just couldnt get the work for some reason. turns out dropping me down though was the right move i never really struggled like that again.
