Exactly ! I believed him to be most merciful so I pray for forgiveness. But I should realize my lacking and the fruitless results of all my hardwork is because I didn't put God first. When we put God first, the demons, evils, and corruption dispells from our path.

I would ask for forgivenss but not right after the sin because I would feel like Im being really rude, like Oh I just did something you told me precisely not to do and I knew that very well but forgive me. Iamyou iamyou Allah doesn't like to punish. Allah loves to forgive....He is the extremely merciful. We just have to repent for our sins and ask Him for forgiveness honestly. We are Allah's most beautiful creation and Allah loves us. He created this beautiful Earth and sky for our survival. He made the Earth fertile and sends rain so we can get our sustenance. He gave us air to breathe. Countless blessings...many that we dont even know. So should we not thank Him? The problem with us is we forget Allah's provisions for us and are busy trying to become independent and get what others have.

It's a right to every human being. Ask for guidance, peace, love, whatever you'd like. God loves that you ask.

The supplication of the disbelievers, if it is a supplication to someone other than Allah, such as the supplication of the Christians to their object of worship the Messiah (peace be upon him) or to the Virgin Mary, or the supplication of idol worshippers to their idols, is a supplication based on misguidance that will not bring any benefit; rather it will be a cause of punishment for them in the Hereafter, because it is associating others with Allah, may He be exalted.
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“For Him (Alone) is the Word of Truth (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but He). And those whom they (polytheists and disbelievers) invoke, answer them no more than one who stretches forth his hand (at the edge of a deep well) for water to reach his mouth, but it reaches him not, and the invocation of the disbelievers is nothing but an error (i.e. of no use)”
[ar-Ra ‘d 13:14].
Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his Tafseer (2/785):
What is meant is that just as the one who stretches forth his hand to the water, either to take some of it from a distance will not benefit from the water that does not reach his mouth, similarly these mushrikeen who worship another god alongside Allah will never benefit from that in this world or in the Hereafter. End quote.
Sixthly:
The supplication of the disbelievers to Allah may be answered sometimes, for reasons such as establishing proof against the disbelievers or to prove their disbelief, denial and stubbornness; or to restore justice to those among them who have been wronged, because Allah enjoins justice and forbids injustice; or because He has guaranteed to provide for them in this world, so if they ask Him for provision He grants it to them; or to manifest His kindness, generosity and blessing to all people.
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And when harm touches you upon the sea, those that you call upon besides Him vanish from you except Him (Allah Alone). But when He brings you safely to land, you turn away (from Him). And man is ever ungrateful”
There are 3 criteria dua that Allah SWT will always listen:
1. Dua from the oppressed/ downtrodden people
2. Dua from the traveller (musafiyr)
3. Dua from parents who cursed one of his/ her children.
(ref: Hadist of Abu Hurairah RA)
From the non-muslim, Allah SWT only listen from the number 1 above.
(ref: Hadist of Anas RA, and Ibn Umar RA)

Hafsah Khan If you make a sin you have a 6 hour window to ask forgiveness. Within these 6 hours your sin will be deleted. Beyond the 6 hours you will be forgiven but a black drop will contaminate your heart.
If you continue the sin your heart will be black Raaan. If enough Raan collects Allah will stamp your heart. If you repent ownestly this raaaan will be cleansed.
O Allah you know everything. Please forgive us and bless us with strong Iman.
