My wife and i just loved our 2015 Fiat 500 Turbo. Black and red leather interior. Full roof sunroof. 5 speed manual. What a blast to drive. Lil ripper!
My dad randomly came home with an orange 500e back in 2013/14. It was honestly so fun to zip around with. It would skirt its tires under hard acceleration
What's the point of this car? Who is Fiat's target audience? Its not efficient as it only offers 149 miles range which means real range is around 100 mile. Is it a fun car? Well, its only 117 hp. So, why will anyone buy this? People buy Toyota Corolla as its efficient and buy BMW/Mercedes/Audi as they are fun. This is neither.
The car manufacturers marketing departments do this all the time they don’t bring to the market what the people want , they will market the one model then say “ they are not selling well in the USA “ well if they sell the one with more power and a convertible they will find that they probably will sell well” come on Fiat give us what we want! Be the first electric Affordable convertible in America!
This is one of the better 500 each reviews. We will forgive you for your newbie mistakes in operating the car. More precisely, you do not have to push the start button twice to turn the car on if you hold the button down for one second. The same thing goes for switching drive modes. Don’t be in such a hurry and hold the button down for a second and it works perfectly every time.
You can get a used 124 Fiat Spider as a second car for around 17k now. That car is a modern classic. This is a real tough sell at the price. But who know in a few years.
I had a 2017 Fiat Spider for 4 years & nothing but problems since the engine was made in Italy & installed in Japan by Mazda, Instead buy a Mazda MX 5 that is completely made in Japan. In 2021 I bought a Mazda MX 5 & has been completely trouble-free for over 3 years. Remember FIAT stands for Fix It Again Tony is the truth.
@@mixedbyfiatcat For sure but, The newer models like my 2017 124 Spider were discontinued because they had so many problems & lack of sales just like all the Fiats the last few years. If the Fiats were well-made people would keep buying them. If a car has good quality Americans would continue to buy the Fiat brand but Fiat has had terrible sales why? Poor quality maybe?
I don't know who the target market is at $37K. This car offers no advantages over any other car except it looks unique. You can buy 5 of the older cars for the price of one of these. I drive the previous gen 500e I wouldn't spend more than $10k to 12k on a new one. I would buy a used model 3 any day over this
Cool looking little car, however, Fiat missed an opportunity here. They should have made a high performance version or something like that, to stand out more.
It's not, because it was made primarily for the EU market as a city car. That does NOT make it a compliance car. There isn't much range you can get out of a small car. It's not really meant to be more American roads like the last gas one was that I own and love.
This is what more EVs should be. Not pickups and sports cars. Too bad they priced it so high no one will want it. Hopefully other brands don't consider it a lesson learned when this doesn't sell.
They would have brought the best engine in their lineup 2cyl Multiair 1.0L turbo and upgraded 6std transmission and sold even more 🎉 but the CEO does not serve
How can you not just come out and say this is an overpriced POS. Who exactly is this junk supposed to for? For $37K, you could get a very nice used Mustang Mach E. The depreciation will be catastrophic.
People who want something different, something odd and unique. And the rebates offered and offers from Fiat bring the price down substantially. It’ll be a huge hit in college towns and big cities.
Lets be honest.. i rather have a new car than a used car. This is perfect for my needs. Also most electric cars nowadays cost anywhere from 50-60k. Thats ridicioulous. Atleast this Fiat is more "affordable" compared to electric cars nowadays.
Well Stellantis has paid a total of 190 million dollars in fines for missing fuel economy standards. So they don't care if they sell any of these things in the US. It's here for one reason, to lower the CAFE number.
I have one across the pond in the UK. I use it as a second car saving my VW Caddy Maxi 7-seater diesel for longer trips. Bought the fiat 2 years old with 2,000 miles on the clock. 500e Red. Cost me half the price of a new one £13,000 GBP. Yes, the back seats are dangerous for adults. There was no option of that third suicide door available in Europe. The back seats do not fold flat because of the batteries under the floor lifting the seats too high. Bad design. I can wait 2 years for the Hybrid version of this new shape which might iron out the faults. SAME REVIEW I GAVE TO ANOTHER USA TESTER.
Yes the revised design works for me , I like it! I think most people will like it also . I’m thinking this is a nice car to run around town in with the 149 miles per charge should work for most people. I’m going to wait to see if they bring the convertible here to the US . I think if they did it would sell nicely . We live in South Carolina so the convertible will be nice to have since it’s hot here the 149 will be like 100 miles a charge with the A/C running all the time but even a 100 miles per charge will be OK for most around town .
Maybe doesn't like it on a vehicle but likes the color itself 🤔 I love green but don't care for green cars. So maybe that's what he was getting at. Or maybe vice versa, he likes the color on the car but not individually
I had original fiat 500e 2015 that I bought used in 2018 and had for 3 years. This new Fiat 500e brand new is not worth more than 20K TOPS. No one in their right mind would pay 37K for this. You can get a brand new Model 3 Long Range for $33K after 7.5K instant incentive. Tesla is miles ahead of Fiat in every single category. I had original fiat 500e and bought a 21 model 3 and there's absolutely no comparison. This 500e will absolutely flop in the states.
Gayest and crappiest car out there. Guarantee you in 20 years or so, the company will go bankrupt. $37k for that?! I rather get Tesla 3 as Tesla is dominating the EV world with the largest reliable charging station nationwide. Tesla screen is much larger. Comes with Netflix, TH-cam, twitch and TikTok. Drive and park on demand when you put foot on acceleration and toggle D or R. You don’t need to press any start button. Huge cargo space from trunk and frunk. Power seats. Extra entertainment screen for rare passengers. Italian just being cheap with this build. Asking for a lot but offer less. 😂
I used to like fiat, small light, easy handle.... but come on, this is 2024 EV now, no AWD, less than 150hp.... less 200mile range......and cost 40k😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒Not beauty at allllllll 👎🏻
I love how they keep the style, and heritage of one of the most shitty cars to come out in the last decade. Chrysler Fiat has been a match made in hell.
It's cute, but too feminine looking for my taste (maybe it's the colour here). Plus, it's overpriced by $8k-$10k. It would be great for a city runabout, but I'd rather buy another brand, used, with twice the range, for less money.
The only one cheekier and more inspired by beauty than the 2024 Fiat 500e is Sofyan.

They need to make an Abarth
It already exists here in europe
There is an Abarth version already out here in Europe
The abarth version is coming a few months later to the U.S

When I hear 500E, I automatically think of the Mercedes W124 500E from the early 90s.
Now that was a car. Very Mafia in blue/black metallic.
This’ll be a huge hit in college towns and tight urban environments. Plus, Fiat is already offering very good specials on them.
37k for only 149 miles? Nah😅

Not to mention these things aren't priced competitively at all for the U.S. market. As least the last generation of 500 was VERY competitively priced.
It's cute :D
But it'll probably implode and disintegrate in any accident with the mammoth SUVs on the road today
Sounds like you shouldn’t be driving because of the fact that you’re even mentioning hitting bigger cars 😂

The screen lag on the "speedometer" was alarming. No excuse for that in 2024. And the lag is likely only going to get worse as the tech ages.
