I own some of both brands and I totally prefer the mildliners. I don’t know why, but I feel like they’re easier for me to use. I wish I could have the 25 pack one day 😂 Anyway, the color range of Tombow is definitely a win for sure
I have both ... Bought a ten pack of the zebras and 2 five-packs of the tombow. An important thing that's not on here is the pricing. Tombows are more expensive than Zebras. Personally, I prefer the zebras (shorter, so easier to carry, cheaper, and a good supplement to a larger color variety pack from a cheaper brand - I have a huge Arteza pack). Tombows are overly hyped in the journaling community and if you are starting out, I'd say get a few but don't start with the large packs, they are not worth the price for a new journaler.
I totally agree when you mention that you don't tombows if you are just starting, actually I mentioned that in a lot of videos that I did for beginners. I didn't mention the pricing but I left the links to get the markers in the description, and the prices are quite similar for tombows and zebras on Stationery Pal. if I buy tombows in a physical store, they are expensive, on that website, they are not + with my code they are even less expensive.
@@CatsPlanner hadn't checked out the links ... Definitely cheaper through stationary pal (I've been browsing for a while now, hahaha), though not for brush pens as they are a bit pricey still. But finding some other cool stuff ☺️. And will definitely take advantage of the discount code 🙏🏾 When I was buying mine, 10 zebras cost me ~ $15 at Walmart vs almost $30 for the Tombow from their website. I bought the Tombow before the Zebras so, I was okay with the price then. Plus I wanted particular colors - which I'm sure contributed to the price. But still, it was like double the price which is what threw me off when I realized that the Zebras were almost just as good. Loved the review though and the fact that you try 2 different notebooks as well.
I've been using Zebra mildliners heavily since I started journaling in 2018. But when I started using Tombow the following year, my Zebra mildliners were barely used that it looks brand new now at 2024. I agree, the length of Tombow is my pet peeve esp. when I want to pack a few while traveling. But I always like the variety in colors and I often reach out for it when I do vintage themes on my journals.
Hey Cat! Thank you so much for this comparison! I was one of the people who asked you to please do the video! I think I will continue using the Tombow. The color variety is huge in comparison with the Zebra ones! Thanks again! 🙏🏻👏🏻❤️
I love both of these brush pens ❤ I just bought the Zebra brush pens recently and they do have code/name. At the last line on the brush pen, you'll see something like "WFT8-MAP" and etc... MAP stands for Mild Apricot, MOR stands for Mild Orange and so on. The "WFT8"; I guess is their manufacturing code for brush pens, cause the highlighters code are in "WKT7-MR" 😊
You Give An Amazing Ideas , They Are Soo Amazing , Found Your Channel Recently , Now I Get More Ideas , And That Make My Journal Look Soo Aesthetic and Cute 🥰 Thank You 😻🐾

Yeah!
Mine also have names on them. I got the 10 pack so not sure if that's the reason why.
@@audeai4021 I got mine 25 in a pack 😅 worth every penny HAHAHA
yaa! I have some and mine are MR for Mild Red and MG for Mild Green
Same , I was just about to post a response to that claim made earlier in the video . Thanks for sharing
Thanks for making this video💕 I was confused between which one should I buy . But now I can decide better😍
I think it has a longer barrel because it holds more ink as well, so it lasts longer
isn't that obvious 😆
@@CatsPlanner lol
You can get the 25 pack from Amazon for $28.. I just got mine and they're legit.
At me is literally 12 pack for 37 dollars
(Not from Amazon but everywhere)
The only hassle with Tombow - they don’t fit in my regular pencil case.
glad I covered that in this video 😆
@@CatsPlanner ☺️👍 yes you did, and I am glad too. Love this comparison video you made so much 💕 Thanks
true, but then because of the shape and and coloring they look so elegant.. love them
Really helpful ❤ Thankyou xx

Is it available for international shipping and pay on delivery ? Actually a bit confused
on Stationery Pal you pay for the products and then the shipping, and then they send you the products
Can you do watercolor effect with the zebra?
I would say yes but I never tried it
