This song comes from the musical "Beyond the Stars" by Len Ballantine and Frank Reynolds. This is a beautiful tune played masterfully by the musicians in this arrangement with the melody introduced by the cornet for the first verse and then dropping to the piano with the cornet playing an obbligato with hints of that irresistible melody.
The lyrics, by Frank Reynolds, are particularly poignant during this time.
