Hope you all enjoyed the episode! Here is our research and reasoning behind the victor: SPOILERS BELOW Let's start off real fast by looking at where the characters came in for stats.... Byleth AP: 21 Zettajoules (Byleth is able to one-shot Grima in Fire Emblem Heroes. Check out Robin vs Rosalina for more details on Grima's stats.) Durability: 21 Zettajoules (Taking similar hits to what he dishes out) Speed: Mach 9,700 (dodging meteor pulled from space) Palutena AP: 749.7 Exajoules (Her Glam Laser scales past Pit's attack power, as she is able to one-shot enemies that Pit is unable to.) Durability: 792.7 Exajoules (Palutena is able to survive attacks from Pit's most powerful attacks. Check out Pit vs Samus) Speed: Mach 700 (Her speed is a bit more vague. Although she moves around at pretty underwhelming speeds in her fight, given that she is actively granting Pit his flight speed, she SHOULD in theory be comparable. If we are being incredibly strict, she doesn't have any real speed feats, but for the sake of argument, we assumed she was on-par with Pit's speed.) Explanation: A battle of two green-haired goddesses! (Well, counting Sothis). This wasn't nearly as close as it would seem at first glance. While Palutena is a formidable magic user, her skills in combat were less impressive. She had basically every power available to Pit, such as automatically avoiding attacks and reflecting damage, but Byleth was just too powerful for these abilities to be enough to overcome the stat disadvantage. Byleth was about 28 times stronger and more durable than Palutena, putting him easily in the range that he could defeat her in a single attack. What's more, Byleth was also nearly 14 times faster than her. This would give him enough of a speed advantage to close the distance before Palutena had much time to react at all. Strategy-wise, Byleth is known to mercilessly go for the kill in an efficient way to end the battle as swiftly as possible. He would not hesitate to use every advantage he had to end Palutena's life the moment he was given the opportunity. He also is a master of many different forms of combat and strategy and likely out-performs Palutena in both of these areas. Even if Palutena were to get the time to let off a deadly attack or ability, Byleth has access to an ability called Divine Pulse that allows him to rewind the battle to any point of his choosing. He can do this up to 13 times before he runs out, giving him many different chances to end the fight. The same ability also allows him to stop time for about half a minute, and unlike the rewind he can do this an unlimited number of times. When this is combined with his stat advantages, he is just way too much of a threat for Palutena to handle. This is all without mentioning some of Byleth's most dangerous abilities, such as: Silence - This would stop Palutena from using any magic Miracle - Survive an otherwise lethal attack Renewal - Heal a sizable portion of his health each turn Distant/Close Counter - Damage any enemy who hits him Fatal Smoke - Stops enemies from healing Panic Smoke - Inverts enemy's positive stat buffs Ruptured Sky - Adds 20% of his enemy's attack power on top of his own. Given that Palutena's attack power and durability are equal, this means that even if Byleth had far lower stats, he could still finish off Palutena in a mere 5 hits through stealing her power. Between this and his time stops/rewinds, Byleth has some serious methods to be a menace even if ecah of his stats were dramatically lower than they are. This all comes together to form an opponent that is just too much for Palutena to triumph against. Byleth is the winner of this battle.
Ah so speed, strength, and hacks won this fight good to know thanks. Also funny how meteor dodging was mach 5,830 with ike vs ricter but its now mach 9,700 now, just something I noticed upon reading the feats you put for the two and seeing why Byleth won. Fire emblem characters has some interesting power scaling.
If you’re going to use Heroes, why stop at Grima scaling of all things? Heroes goes up to Multi+ with The Tempest, and there are also other god like beings in Feh that should be stronger than Grima. I am very confused. Also I highly don’t like using Heroes scaling in the first place as an FE fan. But all in all, a good fight. Really captured the personalities well
I appreciate how you give the best, charitable stats to each character to keep it fair and interesting and then are able to explain the winner in a way that makes the stats (which like, are a shaky argument to decide the winner I think we can agree) not that important.
This is such a tricky one to figure out, both fighters have at least some devastating hax that their opponent has no familiarity or counters for. Palutena's reliable transmutation and insta-kill spells, backed by more versatility, automatic damage prevention and a death fakeout... Byleth's lengthy time-stops and passive insta-kill chance, shored up by better combat skill and thirteen nigh-uninterruptable rewinds... My money's on Byleth but only just barely, this fight is likely going to be a close one and neither outcome would surprise me!
Well... I didn't expect Smash Bracket's researchers to interpret everything quite the way they did, but with that and the landslide verdict in mind, this comment hasn't aged well.
Palutena's voice actress did amazing, and sothis sounds almost one to one with the original, and the animation was really fluid and expresive, i think this is one of my new favourite epidodes
Damn I was really hoping my girl Palutena would win. She put up a good fight though. Maybe if we get another Kid Icarus game at some point Nintendo we can have some more Feats then she might be able to triumph. Good animation anyhow
Did you really expect the cool one to win? Of course it would be the one that makes no sense that wins. Have you learned nothing from death fight channels?
Isn’t she able to summon black holes? If so I don’t think Byleth would be able to avoid that. They didn’t bring it up at all. That and they used Fire emblem heroes to scale Byleth.
Dude, the personality was so good in this! I love the Robin cameo, I will forever be curious how the story was gonna shape up since Robin + Byleth on a team is scary. I’m more scared of them than Sephiroth ngl. I was team Byleth since I love FE, but the characterization of Palutena was enough I was ready to be happy no matter who won. I love how Byleth had like 1 spoken word and a yell and that was it. Also did a crazy job with the magic, it was so clean. I still think Robin v Rosalina is my favorite EPISODE, but this animation did a really good job. Not sure if it is my new favorite animation or not, but it’s up there. Excellent work to everyone!
Seriously. Nobody ever makes good FE animations, these are such a rare and valuable commodity for me. I’m gonna have to wait like another 7 years for Deathbattle to do another one after the last few SB ones are finished.
The animation was good, but there were a bunch of little things that kept adding up. When did Byleth get his sword back after getting thrown out of the room? How did he get back (since it wasn’t done by a rewind)? The flurry of attacks with the Heroes Relics looked like teleportation rather than getting there through sheer speed (giving an idea of where he came from would have gotten around it). If it was by the time stop, then the purple particle effects would have helped clarify that. The choreography was good, but tiny additional shots to connect it together would have helped the latter half. I’m excited to see the next animation and the research for this.
Sothis canonically can freeze and rewind time at will but rewinding is limited to 13 uses per encounter and Three Hopes makes it so Byleth can freeze time in a certain vicinity for what appears to be a minute to him in game so he probably just used that, grabbed the Sword of the Creator then froze time repeatedly to beat up Palutena with the weapons in his inventory since he’s able to carry up to six weapons in Three Houses (plus in smash, he just conjures them out of thin air so by smash logic, this still works). And, by what it looks like in this animation and how it’s used in Three Houses, the purple effect was probably only for rewinding time, not freezing it which, in Three Hopes, has more of a blue glow to it from Byleth’s perspective. Definitely would have helped to have him “teleport” with a flash of white and blue where he was and ends up, but in Three Hopes when he uses it against Shez, it doesn’t really change anything about the visuals to Shez except making it look like he can teleport. (I’m now imagining Byleth freezing time before falling off, slowly climbing up the edge of the cliff then running over to grab his sword then moving back to his original position for dramatic effect.)
Genowhirl did a fantastic job on this one! Always loved how he's animated facial expressions and that really shines with the banter scenes here. Also massive shout out to the voice actors! It's always a treat to hear Jedi Exile's Palutena, and Sothis's VA did an incredible impression of Cassandra Lee Morris. Wonderful job all around! And now for a spoiler mark I don't know how many times to hit enter so here goes: RIP Palu but admittedly this isn't a surprising result in the slightest, Byleth and Sothis are both far more experienced in combat than Palu ever was, and even without going into lore feats like the continental flood what Byleth is directly shown doing in Three Houses is far more impressive than what Palu is shown directly doing in Uprising.
Excellent job on this! I think the writing for Palutena could've been a little more to-character, and I'm not sure what move Byleth did at the end there. But otherwise, it's clear the writer/battle planner actually played KIU & FE3H, so props to them!
We can't forget that Byleth also has a goddess with him, Divine Pulse is just a broken ability, a lot of versatile skills, experience with every weapon, big stats and a strategic mind (man is literally a professor and commands an army later on).
And especially inconsideration of feats attributed to gods in fire emblem heroes, even the lower ones, some even having statements as wild as creating higher realms, you realize how much of a lopsided match this really was
WOO, What a ride. Robin AND Byleth winning against 'goddess' like beings? Damn, I am eating GOOD. I also appreciate the implication that all the FE characters decided to form a team together.
@moelisboardmolina5428 Robin, lucina and Chrom all have in universe reasons to stay together. One can understand Marth being convinced by Chrom and Lucina (his great something grandkids). If we take subspace as canon, Marth maybe can convince Ike from their time together then. If we take that one Fates DLC where corrin and his army meet Chrom, Lissa and Frederick right before the events of Awakening, or assume that the ammibos that summon Marth, Robin and Lucina can be considered even slightly canon than one can use that connection for Corrin, and from there also another Ike link. Meaning the only two I can't find anything at all for period is Roy and Byleth. And trying to use the Emblems from engage doesn't really work since the Emblems are canonical not the actual individuals.
I love the dialogue/lack of dialogue in this one. Poor Palutena got stuck with the stone-faced killing machine who doesn't really _do_ conversation instead of someone she can have some witty repartee with. Would have been nice to have her and Sothis chat some more or get the Byleth from Three Hopes in here, but alas.
Bro,there were some Fire Emblem Three Hopes references, and the easiest to notice Is the belly punch (realized in the same way Byleth Ashen form did vs Shez,It also was the same angle)
On the one hand, I'm sad we didn't get back-and-forth witty banter between the goddesses. Would've been comedy gold. On the other hand, Palutena's hilarious amusement at noticing Sothis' presence and even tapping Byleth's head for emphasis, followed by Sothis taking full control of the fight with seething fury over being mocked... A brilliant interaction in its own right.
As a big Kid Icarus fan, I just wanna say: you nailed Palutena's personality here. Most times people that didn't play Uprising see her as a really bland and boring character, while her you did your research for sure. I am still disagreeing on her losing to Byleth for various reasons, but aside from that I appreciate what you did here. Keep up the great work
Fire Emblem characters are *constantly* going up against deities throughout the whole franchise. If you are in an FE game and you aren't killing gods by the halfway mark or so, then you're not in a FE game.
Loved all the references from Three Houses and even Three Hopes! I've played those games for way too many hours so I knew for a fact that Byleth was taking this no problem
@@flamellamarada4153the scary thing about FEH being Canon is now you have a bunch of Fire Emblem Characters who have 4D scaling and above due to the number of absurd feats attributed to gods and then remembering there are human characters who’ve defeated gods before (especially mess for Corrin who’s the child of and defeated ‘the First Dragon’)
I'm calling bullshit 😒 This starting to feel biased, maybe it's me, but i'm finding hard to believe how many fire emblem characters are dominanting every fight they enter and so magical pull of a win
@@RushWheeler About 10 actually! A few are going to be on Patreon only (for free) due to not being able to get up to what we need to have it on the main channel
Byleth: I got the Gold Ending for 3 Houses. I have training with Dimitri, tea with Edelgard, and I’m doing a lecture with Claude later. Palutena: What about Rhea? Byleth: Retired to Zanado. You aren’t the first green haired mommy complex I’ve had to deal with.
Spoilers Palu: Time for some witty back and forth banter you fir- ack! Byleth: ... Palu: Guess "talk is cheap" to you, huh? Edit: Pit: HE DID WHAT!? Viridi: Yeah, sorry for your lost. And it was kinda expected. Pit: What do you mean expected!? Dark Pit: You do her dirty work for her, so it wasn't surprising that she lost against someone who had more combat experience. Pit: TAKE THAT BACK! Viridi: So you don't do work for her? Pit: I do but... Viridi: But what? Pit: I... I expected this to be closer. Viridi: She has you to fight for her Pit, Byleth on the other hand is an experienced warrior and teacher. She just doesn't fight that often, and Byleth has abilities to counter and some above even her own. Pit: When you put it like that...
If I had a nickel for every Fire Emblem protagonist who won against a Goddess, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's neat how it happened twice.
Okay, so there are some comments complaining about the validity of the match because of the methods used to obtain the calcs. I’m gonna do my best to put them to rest, having little to no understanding of how they actually arrived at any of those figures. Firstly, let’s get the biggest thing out of the way. Palutena has absolutely zero feats. If you want to be really grimy, you can just say that she has a level of power that is impossible to quantify because it is never shown. You could even make the case she has no unusual strength or durability or speed and the like on her own and instead only powers up others since this is what leads to much of the core gameplay of Kid Icarus. This means, the whole fight has to be predicated on a good faith argument that Palutena likely has at least the same stats as those who fight for her. Is this certain? Nah. But it is necessary to even have the discussion, since a fighter like Byleth even when sticking to only the sourcest of source material has impressive scaling in terms of speed and AP. At least, for those who don’t know about FE scaling. Second, much like the last super contentious FE vs a God match with Robin and Rosalina, the fact is the winner isn’t strictly determined by stats. It can’t be, since one of the fighters this time literally has no provable stats. Byleth simply has better hacks than Palutena. The power of Divine Pulse is essentially Killer Queen Bites the Dust fused to The World, except Byleth can rewind and stop time for way longer at will instead of with cooldowns or activation requirements. This dude has the power of 2 major JoJo antagonists and he can spam it. Byleth with the power of Sothis can cut through like actual dimensions. He has full on mastery of space and time and magic and a god living in his head who can either channel her power through him or fuse her power to him, either way giving him the powers of a God. He has spent his whole life as a mercenary, constantly battling and never failing a job once. His tactical prowess is so good, he can instruct classrooms full of the brightest minds on the continent and teach them meaningfully on how to battle. While he isn’t as intelligent as Robin, he has many of the same skills and honestly some arguably better hax. Then, we have Heroes. Probably the most contentious part of this episode is that Heroes was mentioned in the comment for why Byleth won. If you disagree with Heroes being considered canon, take it up with the developers. I agree it’s stupid and it makes everyone’s scaling very inconsistent, but thems the breaks. IS makes these games and characters and they decided that Heroes is canon. If you want to put some sort of restriction on that, congratulations! Your argument is head canon and at best contrary to what has been stated by the devs. Your opinion will probably not be taken seriously since you are arguing canon material should be ignored because you don’t like it. The worst part is, the only think Heroes was used for was in giving Byleth comparable AP to Robin. Fine, throw it out, we literally don’t need it, Palutena is still featless and Byleth still has his very valid speed calc and an attack that scales off HIS OPPONENT’S power in the canon Heroes iteration of his skill. Even if you disregard all that, Byleth is untouchably faster, Palutena cannot be quantified anywhere nearly as highly as Byleth, he has all his skills and legendary weapons and to top it all off, bro can stop time, heat up some cup noodles over his own Fire magic, eat it, and then kill you all before resuming time. The only limit EVER shown in Three Hopes to his time stop ability was when he regained control from Sothis and forcibly deactivated it in order to save Shez. That wasn’t it running out, that was him stopping Sothis from using it against someone he didn’t want to kill. Being most charitable to Palutena and least charitable to Byleth, this fight is still a wash. Byleth wins 10 out of 10 times because he is still several times faster, has the ability to stop and rewind time, is a master of weapons, combat, and tactics, and is up against a featless opponent.
Okay, so here are my personal disagreements with this comment: -Palutena has no feats. Yes, that's true. However, scaling her to Pit (which makes sense since they've fought and all) would put her far beyond Byleth's feats in power. Pit has flown interstellar distances and fought people who can move continental sized stations. -Heroes being canon does not automatically make the scaling valid because it contradicts the lore. You can pull 3H characters from all the routes, pre and post timeskip, and nothing really changes to their corresponding games. Characters literally meet future and alternate versions of themselves, and it makes everything ridiculously convoluted. Its inconsistent at best and an outlier at worst. But ultimately it doesn't really matter because no matter how you spin this battle, it's a stomp. Byleth stomps Palutena if you don't scale her to Pit. If you do, she stomps mainline Byleth without Heroes. Byleth stomps with Heroes. Its one sided no matter what. I think Palutena wins because of my aforementioned reason regarding Heroes, but ultimately these are just opinions. VS debating is subjective. Not everyone will agree on things because feats and scaling, like every other thing related to fiction, relies on one's personal interpretation. Byleth winning is theirs, and yours, and Palutena winning is mine. And that's fine.
@@esteban8471 All in all, that’s a lot of valid points. From my perspective, even disregarding Heroes, Byleth should still have comparable albeit slightly lower AP than what was given for Palutena but considering his attacks can scale off enemy attack power, the difference is negligible. As for Heroes, you can SAY it contradicts the lore but you can also argue it doesn’t. In Heroes lore, you are pulling different heroes from different worlds and different places in their own respective journey. You could also argue that being summoned to the world of Zenith augments your power in some way. Either of these interpretations make it so Heroes doesn’t have to contradict the lore of other titles. Though I still agree using it to say “All FE characters are as powerful as the strongest being in Heroes” is really reaching, the fact is as long as the devs consider it of primary canon, there is no reason to argue it is less valid to use for scaling than other source material, such as Three Houses. There are a few versions of Byleth from Three Houses, Three Hopes introduces a couple more, and Heroes introduces a few more. They are all Byleth and nobody is complaining that Three Hopes shouldn’t be used. This is still all contingent on whether or not we allow Palutena to get credit for all of Pits feats and if we give Pit the more generous interpretations. Either way, Byleth can stop time and move around freely while strategizing. There are still perfectly valid arguments to be made that speed and AP don’t matter, since Byleth’s damage output could literally be zero and his AP would still be only 5 hits away from matching Palutena and his speed is whatever, but the second Palutena gets close enough it becomes immeasurable because he can stop time and move around in it at will. In the end though, you are 100% right that powerscaling and vs debating is very open to interpretation and the fight could go either way depending on your view of their stats and abilities. I think Byleth winning was right, but honestly the way they characterized Palutena was really funny in this so I was going to be happy either way. She seems like a fun character.
@@illialidur8244 She is. Kid Icarus Uprising really made everyone a goober and they're all really charming. Although there are two points I want to point out. I think the difference between Heroes and Three Hopes is that Three Hopes is just an alternate story of Three Houses. An AU in every sense of the word. Heroes is just...a ridiculously convoluted can of worms. That's what makes the scaling so convoluted. You have characters who have died like Jeralt and Hector beat up the embodiment of death, and then there's the drug fest that's the cosmology with Yggdrassil and everything. Yes, its canon but its also just...really weird to talk about. I'm not gonna talk too much about scaling Palutena to Pit's feats but I do think that excluding Heroes, Pit would beat up any FE character in a fight. That's just my opinion and a whole other conversation in and of itself. And this is just a very minor nitpick, but Byleth can't stop time on his own. He can only rewind it. Sothis is the one who can stop time, and she's only ever used it consecutively in Three Hopes. And even then, Shez wasn't just keeping up but he even won. So I doubt time stop would be as much of a game changer if in universe people can "deal" with it. All in all, I stand by my opinion, but I respectfully understand where yours (and by extension Smash Bracket's) comes from. Good day, kind stranger.
@@esteban8471 to be fair, Shez didn’t beat Sothis during the time stops AND Byleth was actively resisting her control. Even if only Sothis can do it, then it’s still on the table like Grima is for Robin.
@@illialidur8244 I guess, but Sothis wouldn't do it like in Three Hopes since Three Houses Sothis respects Byleth enough to not take over. But that's not really relevant. And I'd argue giving Robin Grima doesn't really work because their "relationship" is way different from Byleth and Sothis's. Sothis was "conscious" in Byleth's head and could grant him power whenever she saw fit. Meanwhile Grima is "dead" and Robin more so just the means to resurrect him. Two completely different scenarios, even if it made for a cool moment in Smash Bracket. But I get what you mean.
If I had a dollar for every fire emblem character who's defeated a God like being from a nintendo series, id have 2 dollars. Not a lot, but a bit crazy it happened twice

@@davidgoldammer348 no? In the smash trailer he sorta stumbles towards it but that’s it. He is always pictured as standing in the same place in front of the throne, the only one who moves is Sothis.
I hope either your mental health improves to the point you try and get back into this series (albeit on a smaller scale for the sake of lower stress). Or someone else picks up the torch and finishes this little series themselves. But if neither of these ever happen, I just HAVE to know one single thing… Who do YOU think would actually win this tournament format? Who, in your opinion, would win the whole thing and be crowned the strongest Super Smash Brother?
Dang, was hoping Palutena would win, but I would lie if I said I thought she would beat Byleth with Smash Bracket rules. Considering Dark Pit's opponent is Dark Samus I don't think any Kid Icarus character is winning a fight in this series. Cool fight though. Nice to see both have some godly abilities.
Likely because she's never done that before, the most she's done is create a giant projection of herself (which did happen in this fight). If she could turn giant, she definitely would've done that during her cannon battle against Pit, thereby forcing him to fight her in 'flight mode' and putting him on a 5 minute timer. And sure, a couple of other Kid Icarus deities could super-size, but there's nothing to indicate that all the gods have the same powers.
Pit: Hey Arlon, do you have any tips for running a kingdom? I already am thinking about recruiting Samus as a commander and have Byleth as an advisor. Arlon: Of course Master Pit. Why do you ask? Pit: Well with Palutena's death- Arlon: She faced fate and she left you in charge! Pit: Of course not, but if something were to happen to her I'm next in line, so that's how I got the throne.
Depends? the best calculated feat for Palutena is 300 Teratons. And Byleth's best feat is 5 exatons over... 16000 times stronger? Course you could argue hax though.
For some reason, I can picture Palutena and Sothis being friends like two Hololive girls gaming and doing dumb stuff together in their spare time. Sothis would definitely be the straight man in that comedy situation. does anyone else agree?
Smash Bracket, is there by any chance gonna be someone else that can take over the channel to not only continue it but give you the rest you need from it or is it gonna just be over?
That would be nice, but unfortunately isn't viable for two reasons: 1. The first is that the channel is incredibly expensive to run. Each episode costs thousands of dollars to produce and the channel only makes back a fraction of that. I also recently lost my job, so I wouldn't be able to help support any new endeavors. So it would be a massive financial undertaking to pass on to someone else. It would take a much more financially stable position that is reasonable to expect to ask from someone for a passion project. 2. Honestly, I think that knowing the channel was still progressing would be detrimental to my health. It isn't ME posting the videos that tends to make me sick; it is the mere act of having the videos posted at all. So knowing that they were continuing in an official capacity would make things much more difficult for me. That said, fans are welcome to continue the series on their own channel with however they see fit to do so. I wish things could be different!

Yeah no shot Palutena was winning this one, she doesn't even have the "might have remade the universe" argument Rosa does. It was a good fight though, her personality really came through and she got to do the handful of good feats she has I didn't get much sense of Byleth's character or powers though, aside from time reverse+cutting the island in half this fight felt like the Palutena show. I don't know if that's just how Byleth would be but it's too bad Palu didn't get someone she could trade her great banter with
When in smash bracket if you see a fire emblem char go for it but crazy how with heroes byleth does in fact one shot palu also i have no hope meta knight beats marth
Meta knight can consistently fight with Kirby, who broke a planet bigger than earth with his fist. He also can catch up to dedede, who outflew a black hole. Hell, Kirby did so too and he can keep up with Kirby’s star which is consistently faster than Kirby himself.
Yeah, Marth doesn't have too many hax either aside from a couple of skills. Even with heroes scaling I do think MK still wins, but it is a lot closer at the very least and won't be as much of a stomp this time
I feel like palutena should have fought rosalina, that way it's not all fire emblem characters facing off against characters who could use powers that match a celestials', or are mainly celestials themselves
I was expecting her to use BLACK HOLE, AND MEGA LASER and Byleth to cut out of it like in that scene that's used in their reveal trailer. but whatever. was already spoiled on her dying but her turning to stone was the best ending really. EDIT: oh wait black holes spaghettify people and are not survivable nor are they portals to dimensions. Ignore me. EDIT 2: I really convinced myself to watch this and convinced myself that she couldn’t win. But now that I have, I disagree with the outcome. Or the implication that she dies, that’s a dead ringer for when her soul got taken by the Chaos Kin… so where’s her soul now?
Hope you all enjoyed the episode! Here is our research and reasoning behind the victor:

Let's start off real fast by looking at where the characters came in for stats....
Byleth
AP: 21 Zettajoules (Byleth is able to one-shot Grima in Fire Emblem Heroes. Check out Robin vs Rosalina for more details on Grima's stats.)
Durability: 21 Zettajoules (Taking similar hits to what he dishes out)
Speed: Mach 9,700 (dodging meteor pulled from space)
Palutena
AP: 749.7 Exajoules (Her Glam Laser scales past Pit's attack power, as she is able to one-shot enemies that Pit is unable to.)
Durability: 792.7 Exajoules (Palutena is able to survive attacks from Pit's most powerful attacks. Check out Pit vs Samus)
Speed: Mach 700 (Her speed is a bit more vague. Although she moves around at pretty underwhelming speeds in her fight, given that she is actively granting Pit his flight speed, she SHOULD in theory be comparable. If we are being incredibly strict, she doesn't have any real speed feats, but for the sake of argument, we assumed she was on-par with Pit's speed.)
Explanation:
A battle of two green-haired goddesses!
This is all without mentioning some of Byleth's most dangerous abilities, such as:
Silence - This would stop Palutena from using any magic
Miracle - Survive an otherwise lethal attack
Renewal - Heal a sizable portion of his health each turn
Distant/Close Counter - Damage any enemy who hits him
Fatal Smoke - Stops enemies from healing
Panic Smoke - Inverts enemy's positive stat buffs
Ruptured Sky - Adds 20% of his enemy's attack power on top of his own.
Love this animation and this matchup!, Smash Bracket's team really pulled this through
Ah so speed, strength, and hacks won this fight good to know thanks.
Really captured the personalities well
@@tristanbowles7258I assume it's because of the fact that he can one-shot Grima while everything else might not be a one-shot

Palutena took up a good fight but she's not a fighter while Byleth is a fighter with the strength to back it up.
So glad you enjoyed it!
And now for a spoiler mark I don't know how many times to hit enter so here goes:
RIP Palu but admittedly this isn't a surprising result in the slightest, Byleth and Sothis are both far more experienced in combat than Palu ever was, and even without going into lore feats like the continental flood what Byleth is directly shown doing in Three Houses is far more impressive than what Palu is shown directly doing in Uprising.

Robin AND Byleth winning against 'goddess' like beings? Damn, I am eating GOOD.
I also appreciate the implication that all the FE characters decided to form a team together.
My headcanon is that most teamed up but Ike and byleth are being paid to stay since their mercenaries and don’t really care what happeneds
Okay. Though Palutena ended up as a stone in Medusa’s gaze, her characterization is just PERFECT; very entertaining, too!

A brilliant interaction in its own right.
yeah the animation felt kinda cheap too, wish they'd just stick to 2d it tends to look much better.
Palu probably know about Byleth, since she can break the fourth wall, I'm betting on her but Byleth has good chances

I predict that Byleth is going to win by a stat stomp while also having good hax
I would have loved Byleth v. Shulk. It makes so much sense when you think about it.
Okay, so here are my personal disagreements with this comment:
-Palutena has no feats.

I was expecting Palutena to turn into a giantess, but she never did... Why?
Likely because she's never done that before, the most she's done is create a giant projection of herself (which did happen in this fight).
If she could turn giant, she definitely would've done that during her cannon battle against Pit, thereby forcing him to fight her in 'flight mode' and putting him on a 5 minute timer.

Pit: Of course not, but if something were to happen to her I'm next in line, so that's how I got the throne.
Realistic Byleth getting one tapped
Depends? the best calculated feat for Palutena is 300 Teratons.
About time we get another episode
they had to take their time. if they rushed it, it would not have been good. patience is key.
@@davidgoldammer348 I know, its been like a few months
Fire Emblem has a pretty solid record on this show. Only one loss so far
Smash Bracket, is there by any chance gonna be someone else that can take over the channel to not only continue it but give you the rest you need from it or is it gonna just be over?
That would be nice, but unfortunately isn't viable for two reasons:
Yeah... Byleth's pretty broken lol
So if Sothis took over Byleth, which is what I’m understanding from the animation, did Byleth truly win? Team Byleth won
I mean... They quite literally share a heart and soul, so technically yes...? I guess?
Byleth : gosh! I won!
Me : omfg you're so dead! No one touches my girl like that!
Robin: Goes attack planet Corneria and planet Venom?

/Star Fox & Star Wolf join forces and goes Corneria for stop Chrom, Robin, Effie & Roy/
Fox VS Chrom
Falco VS Roy
Wolf VS Robin
Leon VS Effie
Dang, not even a Black Hole & mega Laser helping
Yeah no shot Palutena was winning this one, she doesn't even have the "might have remade the universe" argument Rosa does. It was a good fight though, her personality really came through and she got to do the handful of good feats she has
I didn't get much sense of Byleth's character or powers though, aside from time reverse+cutting the island in half this fight felt like the Palutena show. I don't know if that's just how Byleth would be but it's too bad Palu didn't get someone she could trade her great banter with
This was an awesome battle between Byleth and Palutena
I’ve even reacted to this battle
We are back fellas
Amazing!
It only get smart I see. Smarter yet smarter.
Alternate ending pls palutena Voice and movimentos so Very good!
Mkleo vs raflow be like:
Pit is gonna try and get revenge for this one
Assuming he recovers from being defeated by Samus.
He is the new ruler of Skyworld and God of Light after all.
3:19 is a straight 3 hopes reference.
I miss the analyses.
Me too! I wish it could be different with these final videos.
@@SmashBracket are you gonna do like the hero battle royal? That you put some stuff on the comunity posts?
@@user-ICY-Andreid That is the plan! And in the pinned comment.
@@SmashBracket one last thing, is the next figth close or not? Not for preassure, i just wanna know
When in smash bracket if you see a fire emblem char go for it but crazy how with heroes byleth does in fact one shot palu also i have no hope meta knight beats marth
Byleth got outside assistance so he's disqualified
Doesn’t matter,he called it as allied support now.
I mean... I guess it's technically 'inside' assistance, given how he literally shares his heart / soul with Sothis.
Ladies ladies your both pretty.
SMASH BRAKET IS BACK!? LETS GO!
Byleth does a lot better in the animation than he would actually, but he’d still win imo.
