Really special teams probably cost Nebraska two games this season. Can’t understand how Rhule didn’t take noticeable steps coming into the season to address it and it showed.

Well, if you heard him after this game. I think he’s moving on from Ed.

Sorry I had to stop listening after he said Ty Robinson will most likely be a practice squad player, but could very will be an active roster player in the NFL. What has he been watching all year? I didn’t see a better D-tackle in the big ten all year, despite the snub for honors as a 3rd team all big ten. Mel kipper has him listed as the 5th best d-tackle in the draft. Which makes him probably a 2nd rounder, 3rd at the latest. Practice squad ? Freaking terrible analysis. Come on.

Being the best in the Big 10 does not guarantee a spot on an NFL roster. It’s hard to make it to the league, it’s hard to stay in the league once you made it. Having a cautious outlook for a guy’s future seems reasonable. In college there is a point when you run out of eligibility in the NFL only your body and mind puts a governor on that. Ty will have to compete with dudes who have been in the NFL for up to possibly 10 years just to make a roster. He could make an NFL roster but it’s not a foregone conclusion as you suggest.
