Killer setup Brian!! The screens really make this a much more approachable tool, especially for folks that are used to building scenes/patches in digital solutions.
Thanks! Yeah they make a huge difference. I had the regular G3, and I hesitated to use it for song specific presets. But when they announced the G3S top board update, I jumped on it.
Gig Rig looks like a good solution. TPS has touted its usage for years. I'm schematic routing compromised and do good to turn on/off the right pedals throughout a song.😝
Slowly. I ended up selling my G3 and going for the PBC 10. Extremely superior editing/preset software and stereo parallel mixer and multiple insert loop points.
Any chance you can share your blackhole settings? Love how it doesn't overtake your sound with crazy reverb. Super easy to do with the blackhole. Currently using mine after a bigsky to add long tails at the end of songs.
Hey man, thank you so much for your explanation, awesome sound! I’m interested to buy the G3S me too.. I have two questions: 1. When you ordered the G3S they give you also the power supply in the same pack? 2. Did you put the Tonex in stereo at the end of the chain after the G3S? Or is it possible to put it before the delay and reverb and going out stereo from the G3S? Thanks again! 🎸
Thanks! I don't think there is a power supply included - you are meant to power G3 with a pedalboard power supply type option, although you may need to use a current doubler to supply enough current for it, depending on what you're using for power. I'm using the two Tonex pedals at the end of the chain, so they're not wired into the board at all - I'm plugging into them as though they are two amplifiers. But you could put a Tonex pedal in the middle of your chain no problem. Just treat it like any other pedal on your board regarding signal flow.
@Ima_Musician the newer version of the Colosseum has four jacks, so you can use a separate loop in G3 for each side. The Imperium is discontinued and I don’t think you can separate the two sides into different loops on that one.
That beginning is beautiful!

Exactly. Next stop, WT at TPS!
I love this concept of using midi controllers to make "snapshots"! It's very relatable to Helix or QC users like me.

We love the RJM stuff as well. They make fantastic products.

@ thanks so much Bryan! I’ve just ordered one for a super upgrade! It has been a pleasure to talk with you! Good luck for your projects! 🎸
Do you not use the second channel of the CLSM or the IMPVM?
I do - I typically will just turn them on/off on the pedal to choose which side I want for a particular amp or song.
@@wttone is it possible to use both with the g3S?

Can the G3s swap between parallel and series routing ?
I don't use parallel routing in G3, but it can do it. More info here: th-cam.com/video/cjA_j_bPSdw/w-d-xo.html
I donnot see the link to the full pedalboard walkthrough !
Sorry about that - here is the link: th-cam.com/video/L84lBF4pMro/w-d-xo.html
I've added it to the description as well
