New(er) yoga teacher! I went through the program for Me. Now I’m ready to teach others. I needed a simple way to create classes and explain what I do. Thank you for this series!
Thank you for creating this - I’ve been struggling for three years to get better at class planning and find confidence to become the movement instructor I’ve wanted to become (and was even encouraged not to by people in the PT/Yoga field saying there was no need for me to add yet another training to my wellbeing toolbelt) The teachers training I took (due to financial constraints) did not provide anything like this and so I was working off my own observations from the 18 years of yoga classes and teachers I’ve worked with and my 20 years of teaching experience - but it’s always been stressful and usually end up pulling the class because I don’t have the confidence. I started adding more and more movement into my creative mindfulness and my skill based art classes last year - and decided this year I’d add some actual movement classes into my schedule - I’m four days out from my first one and I was freaking out about what to do to organize myself - this was affirming of my process and filled in the blanks I was missing! I'm so confused, my body still has an intermediate level , and i dont have the confidence as a yoga teacher , should i stop to become a yoga teacher for now and practice more or i can start as the way i am ?
Great! You can simply choose one. No need to overthink. No one is going to give you the answer. If it helps, try a meditation on the decision and see what comes up.
When it's comes to yoga, everyone is restricting themselves to asanas ( poses). Many think this what yoga is!! But yoga is a wide term!! It has multiple branches of yoga. Yoga Asanas are less than 10% in yoga. We have yamas...and niyama....to talk about!!! We have dharana to talk about!!

Yes. Teaching yoga is a job. There are a lot of ways to get hired and make money. It's the same as with an industry. I recommend learning a little bit about marketing and business as you move forward.

I feel there is a difference between yoga and yoga Asana...!! Every one should be clear in that!!
How would you describe the difference? What phrasing or explanation would help to make it most clear?
