Really and truly, you can’t go wrong with either color, they both look better in person. It’ll also depend if you like the red or brown tones too. I tend to like both just about equally, but I would say that the Scotch goat is slightly more popular. It’s really hard to tell true colors since they may vary a bit. I hope this helps you and thanks for watching!
I bought this color a couple months ago as my very first pair of cowboy boots. Couldn't be happier with my purchase, it definitely elevates my wardrobe. That darker brown is a lot more appealing than the scotch goat.
Agree with you on the sizing. I bought a pair of Cartwrights a few years ago in my typical size 12D. They fit well with thicker socks. After purchasing a couple more pairs-the Dean in Cafe Goat and the Johnny in honey suede in 11.5 D, I realized that is my perfect size. So yes, I also recommend sizing down.
Thank you very much for watching! I’m glad that you agree with sizing information. I appreciate you confirming your ideal boot fit, it’ll definitely help others when researching for a proper fit. Happy New Year!
Rattlesnake boots would be awesome to review! Thanks for the great suggestion, I definitely need to look into getting a pair. Thank you so much for checking out the video, Merry Christmas 🎄. Take care and stay blessed!
@@HeyDennisOfficial Your welcome and have a blessed day. I ordered some Exotic conditioner by Scout should be here today. I'll let you know what I think about it. Seen several videos saying it is better than the other brand. Something 4 is the other brand they were comparing it to. Snapping Turtle 🐢 Boots yes Sir.
Sounds good, I’ll be glad to hear your experience with the new conditioner. Snapping turtle boots will be cool to see, I’ve never seen a pair in real life.
Hey Dennis Merry Christmas! I live in Western Texas, and I gravity towards brown colored boots- they hide the dust better. Black boots in this area become brown or you have to wipe them off all the time. Do like how these look.
Merry Christmas to you too! 🎄I also agree that brown boots hide dust better than black ones and it’s a huge plus when you just want to rock some awesome boots without them getting dirty on you quickly. Glad to hear from a fellow Texan! Happy Holidays! Take care and stay blessed!
That’ll be a great video! Definitely stay tuned for that! I have plenty of cool boots to show that aren’t being made anymore! Thanks for watching and Happy Holidays!
I just got my first pair of Tecovas. I got the Cartwright Scotch Goat color. I’m typically a 9.5 and 9 in sneakers so I ordered these an 8.5EE, which feel good while on a bit snug but I struggle way too much to put them on. Would it be best to just go up to 9 before going to 9.5? Or would this be something that gets better over time as they stretch. Personally they just seem too hard to put on so I was thinking of going up
You’re likely right in between sizes. I would try going up by half a size (so a 9). They should feel good right at the instep (top of foot). The good thing is that Tecovas makes it an easy process to exchange them. Make sure that you really like the fit. Once you get that sorted out, you should be good to go on most their boots. It’s good that you’re trying to get that right with these versus limited edition boots that sell out quickly. I hope this helps and keep me posted please. Thanks for watching!
That’s a tough one, I like both boots a lot! It really depends on your preference in color tone. The scotch goats are a little more on the red tone side, both the natural sole color makes them look amazing! On the cafe goats, I really like the brown color, but only thing I wish they would’ve done differently is made the sole a distressed brown to match, similar to The Lankford instead of the reddish sole, but they still look really sharp! You can’t go wrong with either pair, they’re top notch! Thanks for watching and Happy New Year!
I bought me some Docs and a pair of Earls. Love the boots but I too need a thicker sock. Kinda feel like I should’ve gone down a size but I’m afraid they’ll be too small.
Great choice in boots! Maybe give Darn Tough socks a try. They’re a little pricey for a pair of socks at $25 but they’re great and have a lifetime warranty. I mainly wear them with my hunting boots and they’re awesome! If you have that doubt, when you get a chance, try a half size down on pair just to check how they would fit and then return them. It’ll really help you find out if you have the right fit and eliminate that doubt.
@@HeyDennisOfficial I will definitely try that! Darn Tough Socks needs to send you a coupon code so you can get a cut. I’m hitting up their site now. Also, awesome content sir! I actually watched your videos prior to buying my Tecovas. Thank you for the knowledge sir! Have a blessed day!

I am a Texan and Floridian wearing cowboy boots forever!
My Cafe Goat Cartwrights came in yesterday. They are really nice. I own a pair of Westons and Johnny's.
Great choice of boots! Enjoy your new Cafe goats!
Oh man. I was considering this color or the scotch. This cafe color looks different than the pictures on the website. Thanks for the review

@@DEmechanic2000happy to help, fit is the most important part of boot wearing. 👍
If you’d compare this with Tecovas Scotch Goat which would you prefer for everyday use?
