Hi Kyle, fun fact! that small bottle you found could be from The Upjohn Company founded in 1886 in Michigan, they were in pharmaceuticals. This company is still in business today and is now known as Pfizer.
Kyle! I love it! Thanks to your dad, Carl for all the help! I would be willing to purchase stuff like this if you did more! You, my dear, ARE an ARTIST!!
Hang in there Kyle! Life isn't easy, but it can be so good too! You have life skills, wonderful knowledge, and talents to help you through any rough spots or trials! Hang in there!
Hey Carl thanks for taking the time out to be a dad and helping your son. I hope Kyle's friends appreciates the hard work you put into it. Thanks for your help
It's pretty! My son lived in Leeds, MA during college. The creek across the street was a collector's heaven. Lots of ceramic chunks, ceramic doll's heads, old bottles and more. I wish they still lived there. I'd love to hunt the creek again.
Most excellent, sir(s)!!! Beautiful piece! You may not realize how much enjoyment us grumpy old dudes get from helping you grumpy young dudes learn the Ways of the Processes! Great soundtrack too, BTW!
Dude so rad, honestly the thing I love about this whole project of #themakerschallenge isn’t just what everyone creates, but that it pushes us past our comfort zone, giving us experiences we wouldn’t have had without the project and then, finally, something we made and something to be proud of. Love your creation man! So much to it! And the blue stain, that’s sweet! You crushed it brother!
Nice artsy piece for a “goon” to have designed. Pour some of that clear resin type stuf over the moon, level that out, wax the wood, add a base and voila! an end table or bedside table! It does look great Carl. 😉. Y’all don’t forget to sign & date it. 🇺🇸🌚🌜 🇺🇸
Lovely idea Kyle, your very lucky to have a talented dad, big 👍🏻 to him. No one is useless as an artist, it’s just a matter of personal opinion whether it is art or not.🎨
Dude! Amazing! It looks really good. I could see things like this filled with all sorts of stuff. Broken pieces of bottle embossing, fossils, shells, artifacts... fill the cavity with epoxy and you could use it as an end table. Add a clock mechanism that I’m sure you could get on amazon. Awesome idea that has spawned many other ideas in my head. Nice work from the two of you!
Same here! A lot of those little shards/fragments are so pretty and I could imagine rounding out the edges, adding a protective gloss and making them into necklaces and earrings. ☺️
Absolutely love it. You are blessed to have Carl to help you. Y'all could make a business out of making things like that. I could see it being personalized with a last name or monogram.
That turned out awesome. Thank you to your dad for the help. Kyle, you had the vision of what you wanted to make and with the help of your dad, it came true. Well done.
Kyle - You and your Dad did a great job! Many folks are re-purposing and up-cycling broken items. This was a great example. You may even want to try resin pouring's with some of your glass or ceramic. Stain glass window types and even furniture or art sculptures! I always enjoy your show! Keep up the great work and I hope you are doing fine! Life is an adventure and you must live it for both the good and the challenging days because there are always amazing things just around the next corner!
Says the non-artistic man that searched the jungles for the perfect items to create a gift for his gal friend. Gifts made by your own hands are Thee Best! She'll be over the moon for it. : ) Kyle, Gotta love yah all the more for dipping your toe into the mosaic art scene. Lord knows you have plentiful supplies available for any future projects. Thanks to Theo for the encouragement he urged you on with and A Huge Thanks to your Dad Carl, for bringing it all together for him. Beautiful!
Thanks Carl! Great job on the Moon fellas! Looks awesome! I bet you could use the same process to make some things with fossils. Like a wood meg tooth with small teeth inlays, would be rad!
Love this sooo much! I have hoards of this stuff, including the little stopper bottles 💕 You have inspired me to get on with it, thanks for being involved and reaching more people. 😍
Hmmm I’ve got one thing to say about your project. It was amazingly beautiful. And another thing. I need your dads shop. Thanks Carl!! That Gray made the blue pop. Your idea really worked out great. You should show more of your creativity.
Great job stepping out of your comfort zone and making a cool thing! I always ask new artists: What did you learn? Did you have fun? What would you like to do next time? Would you change anything? What skills do you want to work on next? Hooray for art. This is awesome! (And thanks to your Dad!)
What do you mean "you're not an artist"? That is gorgeous !!! If you were offering that for sale I would definitely want it !! You are extremely creative and talented !!! Dad is amazing also !!
Turned out great Kyle and thanks pops for helping him. Nice cigar too celebrate some fine work! P.s. nice little bottles! That's how you find bottles. Look for ceramic pieces and end up finding the bottles!
You were looking for an artist and now you are one. I just left Georgia to go to florida. I'll wave when we pass. Be happy safe and stay healthy. It is quite a beautiful thing You done good. 😷⚒
I've never known a Carl I have not liked. My grandfather's name was Carl and so was one of the best bosses I've ever had. Thanks for helping out Wild Kyle and I love the finished Project!
Beautiful, I'd hang that in my house. Definitely would like to see more creations from your finds. Btw, I'm obsessed with tiny glass bottles, they are my favorite when you find them.
Wow! Really cool idea and it turned out beautiful, Kyle. Good job 🥰❤️👍🏻 You’re a great dad, Carl! Thanks Theo, for getting everyone motivated. What a fun idea!
What a stunning piece of artwork! Loved the step by step process and bonus bottle finds. Thanks to Dad Carl for his assistance in the making of the moon! A handmade piece like this will be loved and cherished!
Great job Kyle and Carl. Kyle you are artistic, that is beautiful! I think it is a good idea to use fossils and rocks also and make more art pieces. Gorgeous
Hey Kyle! Love this piece!! It's really great to have your Dad help you out. Awesome finished art!!!! Just thought I would comment about the bottle with the embossing that said Upjohns. I lived in Kalamazoo, MI for 10 years and I know Upjohns is a pharmaceutical company. So my guess is the bottle most likely contained drugs made by Upjohns in Michigan. I live in Ocala now so I really enjoy your visits to local places. Good hunting!
It's beautiful! I find that most projects do not turn out exactly as I've planned but, that is not always a bad thing. I have been dreaming of turning antique broken bottles into "sea glass" for jewelry any art projects. I see all the broken bottles you find and just imagine the possibilities.
Thank you Carl for helping out with Kyle‘s project I’m not sure if he really is a very familiar with a lot of the tools for the job that he wanted to do but this time to learn he’s a smart boy he can handle it but thank you for helping him and I look at him as like one of my kids is a youngster they need good guidance and I’m 65 so my sons in his 40s This will be awesome that this kid is done the work Kyle is got a good head on his shoulders
That is gorgeous, and I love it! I might steal this idea and try to make one too! What a cool way to display those beautiful antique pottery pieces! I enjoyed the music you chose too, was tapping my feet the whole time.😆 Thank you to dad Carl! I hope you do more of this !
I love what you came up with for your part of the challenge. I'll be watching all the other participants and what they come up with also! Good luck with the challenge, Wildkyle!
Omg that bottle is awesome. I love old stuff and I am downright passionate about miniatures. My dog dug one up in our yard last summer andI was pumped. I've also dug up tons of ceramic and old thick glass in my yard as well. A small bucket full. I have an idea of what I'm going to do with it. I'm hoping you'll inspire me. I saw the thumbnail and this was the perfect video.
It's freaking beautiful!!! 😍😍 I want one! You could pour resin into the moon cut out to really set those pieces in there, you'd have to do a few pours because it would likely overheat if you poured that much!
Thanks Carl! That's a fine looking shop you've got. Great idea, Kyle, I love it! And you have pieces left over for another work of art! Thanks for showing all the details.
Music is art & you are so talented! Every time I see these little ceramic pieces in your videos I think about all the jewelry you could make with it.That would be so unique and pretty. Edited to add that I absolutely love the finished piece! Totally something I would buy for my house. Excellent job.
I loved watching your project come together, from start to finish. You have the vision to bring it to completion and that is very cool and artistic. It's so gorgeous! P.S. Mama would love something like that!❤️❤️
Love that blue stain you chose! I second the previous comment that filling the cutout with resin would be nice. I think you would enjoy creating with resin and a foresee that as a great medium to make something cool from broken shark teeth😉 Thanks Carl for helping out!
Stunning! I'd take my Cricut and create an "I love you to the moon and back" transfer for the open side, but it's truly amazing as is, also. Look at what a Renaissance man you are!
Hi Kyle, fun fact! that small bottle you found could be from The Upjohn Company founded in 1886 in Michigan, they were in pharmaceuticals. This company is still in business today and is now known as Pfizer.
I forgot to mention that I love the art, you could definitely incorporate more of these videos on your channel! Very creative!!
Kyle! I love it! Thanks to your dad, Carl for all the help! I would be willing to purchase stuff like this if you did more! You, my dear, ARE an ARTIST!!
Well, you don't get to say you're NOT an artist anymore.Your project is just beautiful. Very inspiring!

@@FuzzyJunglePigeon resin would look good in it too.
Epoxy was where my head went also and love the clock idea too!
