BEST concert experience ever!! So I returned to Oakland Arena on Day 2 to interview Silver ARMY (ages 50 and up) about their love for Suga and BTS. Shared my list of 7 things that make Silver ARMY unique, and found a lot of agreement. OF COURSE I understand that ARMY of all ages might share some of these feelings!

MY LIST:
Love for members is platonic versus romantic
Learning curve for some tech stuff
Love for South Korea (universal, but interests may differ)
Admire Bangtan social justice efforts (as above)
Less stamina or tolerance for discomfort (I can't/won't wait in a line for 6 hours)
Songs hit differently (when you have fewer tomorrows than yesterdays)
Not caring what others think!!

I'm an ARMY grandma. 70yrs old here. Silver ARMYS are in a class all our own. I saw an 89yr old ARMY with her walker at an LA concert! 💜
That's amazing! I'm 53 and have 4 grandkids.
I discovered BTS in 2020 when the world was going through a lot. Fake Love kept popping up on my youtube feed and i said, what the heck i will give it a listen to see what BTS is all about. I never thought i would listen to any other type of music besides heavy metal and rock because that is what i listened to my whole life. BTS rap and hip hop hits different than any other artist. They are so good and i enjoy listening to the rap line now. I love all the boys and genuinely want them to be happy. I love dance so when i saw them dance i was hooked, i just had to check out as much as i could about them. I just turned 50 in February so i guess that makes me a silver Army :)
As a SILVER ARMY I can’t thank you enough! This is great! I can’t speak Korean, but it totally doesn’t matter! ☮️

I'm 61 and I love Suga and BTS!! Suga didn't come to my town but I just attended the live stream in the theater and it literally felt like we were on stage with him. It was great👍😊
What a great name for us "silver" armies! So glad to meet you through TH-cam! I'm 54 and pleased that there are others out there in my age group that love these boys!
I went to day one and day two, I was on the floor. I had a great time. I have seen BTS 13 times. I even went to London and sang to them and made them cry. Anyway, I am a 75 year old grandma and they changed my life ! I love BTS ! Hope to meet you at their next concert.

I LOVE the fact that we are called “silver” ARMY. I don’t know if you came up with that term or if it’s well known among the fanbase but it’s new to me. And I agree that all the boys feel like they are own my kids.
BTS are so adorable and amazing. The thing that I love the most about them is that they show that you can be a kind, caring, and considerate person while still being a cool person to your peers. 💜

I'm 77 years young, my daughter is 54 and her daughter is 20. We are all ARMY. Would love to see BTS in person. Saw JHope at Lollapolooza Chicago. Awesome performance. Had to be in Chicago the week after Suga's concert. 😢I'll catch the live broadcast from Japan at the theatre. We may be the Aunties but we are young at heart. So proud of these 7 guys.

1975 liner here so 48 yo -- but I identify with what y'all are saying. So happy to find your channel -- you have a new fan here in Houston. Silver ARMY have lived more life, had more hardships and trials so that affects how we hear the songs. Every one of these 7 men is dear to me -- true, as family, like dear sons or younger brothers -- although the things they say show that because of how their lives have gone they are old souls, each of them in their own way. BTS and ARMY family 4 life...

Love this!!! Your list was great!! I attended the Rosemont concert with my daughter and it was the best concert I’ve ever experienced. I look forward to when I can see all 7 perform in person. 💜 Until then, Yoongi has given us something to hold onto.

66 Silver Army here! Loved PTD LV D3 and Suga's LA D2. They have brought me new energy, happiness, introspection and insight. I love delving into analyses of their lyrics and mv's, collecting their albums and merch. I never thought I'd fangirl at my age, but here I am!💜💜💜

Tha very same Oakland concert was my recruitment into ARMY. It was transendent. I did not know what to expect. My dear sister by marriege from Japan flew in and took me We made a poster reading : " I divorced her brother, now we are both married to Suga!" . I was prepared to just enjoy a novelty , but within 30 seconds of Suga on stage i was transported into a deeply spiritual place I still can not explain or fully grasp. The whole concert was amazing , every aspect. We met many older ARMY , including an 82 year old woman in the VIP section just below us. SHe never sat down! I am 50, she is 49.It was an emotional reunion for us both and a deeper bond sharing ARMY fellowship.

I wish I'd found your video earlier this year as I'm 72 yr Silver ARMY in Sacramento since 2019 and don't have any friends or family who's a BTS fan. My bucket list wish is to see BTS when they return in 2025 and I'm willing to travel! I just found your video after watching Suga’s D-Day online concert day 2 and I had to reply! I am also a Silver ARMY and I actually call BTS “my 7 Nephews!” So I get the “auntie” part!! From your list I also love South Korea - went last summer on a trip of a lifetime!! I love all they stand for - plus I also don’t care what anyone else thinks!! While it’s hard to explain to others who are not ARMY I have people tell me all the time they wish they had something like BTS to be so passionate about 💜. I’ve seen BTS 4 times - 2 PTD in Vegas and 2 in LA plus Suga in NY and J-Hope for New Years Eve - and there’s nothing like it!!!!!
