my turntable is identical but a wire broke off very close to the winding, i may be able to remove the paper off the winding and expose alittle more wire then solder a piece of thin wire to it
Update: I can’t even get a loan to get my roof fixed. Every place has said I have an insufficient income and denied me any loan. I’m at a loss for what to do. Wife is not happy either obviously.
@@The8TrackChap one wire broke off the motor on mine but i may be able to get another motor i don't think i can fix something like this with my arthritis
Mouse was very busy making a nest. Collaro record changers are excellent machines. Hope you get it up and running.
Yeah I don’t know how the hell it got in there, but what a mess. It was keeping itself nice and toasty with the vacuum tubes.
those speakers look better than the ones in a Magnavox console i once had
i know don't have that but if you get another one like it i can work on those changers, the hardest part is the speed changing mechanism
I'm it's too late now but if you have trouble fixing one like that don't hesitate to ask
the stereo i bought recently has ths the same changer and amplifier but a lid mounted speaker like the one on your 1964 set
i'm not sure if they still make contact paper but my brother and i used it to cover homemade stereo cabinets since the wood was too ugly to even paint
will there be a second part soon?
Holly smokes. I hope you washed your hands after all that.
I sure did.
will there be a second part?
the changer cord plug has lttle squares on one side as a safety feature so it can one fit the right way
one should be only

@@larryshaver3568 yeah I don’t know what the hell to do anymore
@@The8TrackChap there is a place called erie roofs that is looking for roofs to replace and may do yours FREE
if you need parts for the changer i have extra parts since i have three of those changers
my turntable had a motor that stopped turning but the motor bearing wicks were dry as dust
do you plan to sell that when you fix it? I'll buy if you do
I'm thinking I'll keep this one and enjoy it for awhile. Might eventually decide to sell it, but wasn't planning on it yet.

@@The8TrackChap luckily i was able to find a motor and it's been shipped so it could be here friday
that's exactly like the one i have
i just bought a changer similar to that but it has a mechanical sensor flag
i bought another changer like that one to use as a parts donor
the domino capaitrs tell me this was one of their first stereo phonos
alot of things that aren't made any more are superior to what IS still being made
most of the mold can be removed with warm water and bleach but you will want to wear rubber or latex gloves
my changer is exactly like that one, i rebuilt it.
the 7025 is the same as a 12AX7
not quite like mine because mine has the lid in the speaker
that looks like a '59 model
the phono power plug can only fit one way
who ever put the yarn near those tubes didn't know their butt from a hole in the ground
those clips can slide right off by squeezing them
i can get one of the motors these have unfrozen
if i drove i could come and help you get the changer out
I figured it out.
