Icelandic Saga 2019 - The Film

After 7 days and 1200 miles, two seconds is all that separated Owen Turner and Rachel Vestey from second placed crew, Seren and Elise Whyte. Despite a valiant effort from the sisters over the final two days of competition, which saw them close a gap of nearly a minute, the top podium place was just out of reach. Third place was taken by David and Edward Liddell, who had fought hard to climb back up the leader board after a tough day one.

These really are superb videos. As a 911 owner it was particularly lovely to see so many nice 911’s being driven across such challenging conditions. One day I’ll have to join the fun. Having never undertaken a rally though I could do with a tutorial explaining how classic rallying works.

Bravo to all those early car entrants, Nelson with the Sunbeam, the Auntie Rover crew, and awesome Whyte sisters getting 2nd in a Standard 10 ! (like my mum ran circa 1980 to 2005)....love to see a Pre 1960 retro rally - does Hero do those?
