Your packaging is perfect. Not everyone’s post office is near a well served hub. When you live in far out places the packages get exposed to the elements and a ton of handling (mishandling) Your packaging is perfect protection!
The cup care instructions in the box ensure that the person ABSOLUTELY knows how to care for them so they don't come to you when they break them asking to replace it saying they didn't know how to care. Plus it's much easier for a customer to keep a little card than to have to go back to the website for it
If you were to write your care instructions on your site only than those that receive your product as gifts may not care for them properly. I still believe adding a care card is essential unless they are repeat buyers and they’re buying it for themselves.
As someone who makes and sells stuff as well, not everyone reads descriptions 😅 I think the care instructions included might save some complaints. I use really similar packaging too!
I think the card with the mug care instructions is super important. I have ADHD and no way in hell will I remember there’s care instructions on the page once I have the package in my hands. The card works wonderfully as a reminder and will ensure you don’t have confused customers damaging their products <3
I think it’s your company and your individuality is part of the reason people like your products. Don’t even respond to people trying to MICROMANAGE YOU.❤

Anyone who has complained about your packaging will complain if you took shortcuts and damaged their stuff.
