The best scene in movie history the speech ,atmosphere, music, their faces and the narrator perfection make you think i mean he is talking real stuff here
This is my favorite part. It’s easy to put yourself in that situation and imagine yourself the only one awake late at night watching this. I also love “...Ive just been informed that we are going off the air...”. It’s such a chilling thought. The news actually just ending because the situation has escalated so much.
I appreciate that even during the special coverage of the outbreak, the news is still able to give a three-day weather forecast for those planning outdoor activities during the zombie apocalypse.
Two things I’ve never forgotten about this movie in all the years since I first saw it: Johnny Cash - When The Man Comes Around in the intro and “When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth”
Yep, I just came to leave the same comment! While I don’t like religion in general, I was pissed when I saw that. Really gives a zombie apocalypse that extra punch by seeing people holding on to regressive ideas. Max Brooks wrote a good chapter that took place in a church in “World war Z” (not the brad Pitt movie. Seriously, screw that movie).
Fifth Beatle Conversion of silver monies to federals monies, introduction of social securites, crash of 1929, limiting raises of work pay while rate of prices increases, introductions of securities like cameras, introductions of payments by use of credit cards, introductions of credits based on scores. Many to list on what NWO is bringing.
A line that's been reverberated throughout not just zombie films, but also games as well. It's just such a...serious, sad, and depressing line that explains it everything in one sentence. Simple, concise, and powerful.
I think many don't realize where the true horror in a zombie apocalypse lies, it's not the fact that all of a sudden there are beings that wanna prey on you everywhere I mean that too, but it's also the sense of dread that comes when you see actual people that used to dream, love, create and work like you and me brought down to such a state, maybe you knew some of them personally and you recognize them as you gaze into their lifeless rancid eyes, the feeling of utter loneliness and emptiness that we now realize a regular pandemic can inflict let alone a zombie apocalypse knowing that more than half the population of the world is probably irreversibly gone having to say goodbye to all the leisures and warmth of the old world that we take for granted, and the putrid smell of the howling dead in the air everywhere due to the sheer numbers of walking corpses.. You'll never experience love again, never feel the touch of your child's hand after birth, never go out for a casual stroll to catch a breeze, never gather around with loved ones to sing songs and play cards together.. So even if you survive, why? And to think it all could have been averted.. So I think its psychological impact is what makes it that terrifying more so than the biological aspect of it all
The fact that the infected seems to only can be killed by headshots and doesnt attack like any other creatures and also didnt seem to have form some sort of need on water or food like in 28 weeks later just kinda strengthen the suggestion that this is supernatural stuff
In the edited version they took out some lines "man on man realtions ,wedlock marriage and killing unborn babies" cause of controversy found this out through my dvd hard copy of the film
@@misaeltoral508Not true. James Gunn is always keen not to reveal how the outbreak started by leaving it ambiguous in the movie. He did, however, revealed a few days ago that the remaining survivors didn't survive the island at the end

I appreciate that even during the special coverage of the outbreak, the news is still able to give a three-day weather forecast for those planning outdoor activities during the zombie apocalypse.
I love the background sound to this scene it's sends chills down your spine
When Doug Stamper started losing his hair...
This movie is getting closer to reality
And that's terrifying
For the wages of sin are death
It s just a movie for god sake…
@@mariussicaa Not really.
@@mariussicaa Reality will be far worse than the movie. When God pours his wrath upon the earth men will seek death but will not find it.
How so? I don't see any zombies
When you watch this late at night, you'll feel like this is real.
Yeah
Imagine making a scene like that in 2024 these kids wouldn't be able to handle it 😂
This is what Trevor was up to before traveling to los Santos
This clip will hurt peoples feelings nowadays
Youd be hurt too if I told you your knees were just broken because your mother is a wh0ге with no elaboration whatsoever
Just wait until the Book of Revelations gets into full gear.
Hopefully we're dead already when that happen. That book is creepy.
its already happening
Two things I’ve never forgotten about this movie in all the years since I first saw it: Johnny Cash - When The Man Comes Around in the intro and “When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth”
Why don’t they make movies this good anymore?
Sucks that they edited his little speech. Was watching it on tv and it went straight to the "dead shall walk the earth" part
Such an eerie scene. Brilliantly filmed
I hate that they removed the clip from 1:02 to 1:30 from netflix and hulu versions. I don't know why, but I feel like it's because of sensitive people
Yep, I just came to leave the same comment!
Sadly, most of this speech was cut out of the version that just hit Netflix.
Why?
@@tonyizas5733 people dont like the truth, they dont want to hear their degenerate behaviour being called out for what it is
This is still cut from the Netflix version. They're okay with Cuties, but this is too much for them lol.
I was just watching this on spike tv and they edited out the parts where he says sex out of wedlock same sex marriage and man on man relations WOW
And that's exactly what is wrong with this country.
@Rowdy Jr.same
@Rowdy Jr. Have fun getting put into labor and experiencing lots of war
Rowdy Jr. Are there signs of the New World Order actually happening?
Fifth Beatle Conversion of silver monies to federals monies, introduction of social securites, crash of 1929, limiting raises of work pay while rate of prices increases, introductions of securities like cameras, introductions of payments by use of credit cards, introductions of credits based on scores. All this coming from a guy who's grandad is a Voodoo Priest in Trinidad.
This must be the most disturbing lines I ever heard in a zombie movie, and it won’t ever leave my mind :)
A line that's been reverberated throughout not just zombie films, but also games as well.
It's just such a...serious, sad, and depressing line that explains it everything in one sentence. Simple, concise, and powerful.
This scene would of caught so much backlash in todays time foolery😂😂

This part was edited out of the Netflix version, safe for the very last sentence.
Sorel366 of course it was it's a liberal owned company you think they would actually show this scene they're too soft to
They took it out? Wow, what a bunch of crybabies.
Realized this too. I was very disappointed when watching it again some weeks ago.
Movies are sanding us mysterious messages...
@@ginke1996 The Bible ? Sure! Do you believe in the book that said what a snake talked with woman ??
The Netflix upload of this movie cut out like 90% of this scene.
It's bullshit how they do that nonsense.
Same when I watch it on cable.
I never heard the whole speech before, heavily censored.
when they hear those screams at the end..man that’s good writing
So I think its psychological impact is what makes it that terrifying more so than the biological aspect of it all
Well said
1:04 you could not make this movie today with that scene in it without it causing like a riot
If you watch it on demand they cut the scene
@@greatestnitemare6626 They deleted this scene in Netlfix too.
"Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied."- Proverbs 27:20
The fact that the infected seems to only can be killed by headshots and doesnt attack like any other creatures and also didnt seem to have form some sort of need on water or food like in 28 weeks later just kinda strengthen the suggestion that this is supernatural stuff
Netflix deleted this escene from the movie
That was mistake, this Pastor is true
I wonder what Peter would have said about the fat chick at Dairy Queen lol

The scary thing is he’s right, it’s been confirmed the zombies here are supernatural in origin.
Who knows what God is like in this. Likely not benevolent by any means.

@@chuckingreaper8654James Gunn, the screenwriter said so himself
@@misaeltoral508Not true. James Gunn is always keen not to reveal how the outbreak started by leaving it ambiguous in the movie. He did, however, revealed a few days ago that the remaining survivors didn't survive the island at the end
One of the greatest and underrated zombie films of all time in my opinion
Netflix heavy edited Ken Foree's whole speech.
They did not crop it out. The Netflix version is the theatrical version. This video is from the director's cut, which the scene is extended
@@movie.geek300 so why did they choose to use that version instead?
@nd7783 Probably because it would get people offended by what Ken Foree was saying in this scene.

This is definitely my favorite scene in the movie; from the preacher's speech, to the eerie score in the background, and the beautiful shot of the Metropolis logo in the dark.
