She’s 5, so we’re still co-sleeping (we’ve moved recently & it helps her sleep knowing I’m there, for stability 🥰), and sometimes we have minor arguments about who gets to sleep next to what plushie. I’ve had a collection of plushies on my bed since before she was born. 😂 Now, said plush collection has grown and none of them have tags anymore. Not even my pokemon with their Japanese tag labels. 🥲 (I’m sorry, totodile & ampharos.)

      @@staceyb1873someone may have said this already but here we go. An impulsive thought is something that pops into your head that you want to do. You may regret it but you still want to do it. An intrusive thought is a thought that you want nothing to do with, ei self harm, harming others, sexual thoughts, etc. These are the kind of thoughts that make you want to hit yourself in the head to try and get them out. I'm not sure where "swerve into a ditch" lands, because that's usually one that people can ignore better. Stuff like that are the only ones that I can't fully classify as intrusive or impulsive. I hope this helped

    I think it’s really cool that your oldest chose to be in your videos. Most kids on TH-cam aren’t given that choice, and I think it says a lot about you that your daughter wants to participate in the type of content you make. It’s very cool to get a perspective on adolescence from an actually adolescent, especially on the subject of child development and family dynamics. It’s pretty meta, actually. 😊

    No joke. My mom decided to use my baby blanket as a couch cover after i got a new throw blanket. It lasted 30 minutes on there because of the absolute fit i threw over it.

    • @caileyrookids
      @caileyrookids ปีที่แล้ว +18

      My mom spent a couple years trying to talk me into _throwing mine away._ She even made me a new one. End result? I now have two small blankets on my pillow every night, instead of one.

    • @lpsjewel
      @lpsjewel ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@caileyrookids I’ll never understand parents that try to throw away or get rid of their child’s comfort object because they think the kid is “to old” for it. It’s actually more damaging to the child then helping. Everyone needs a comfort object, even adults.

    • @caileyrookids
      @caileyrookids ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@lpsjewel I agree, though in my Mum's defense it was more that my blanket's very small even for a baby blanket, and it had been full of holes. She understood the sentimentality and that's why she tried to replace it rather than just tossing it, but she also saw it as a rag that was falling apart. I've patched up the rips now, and it's a non issue now :)

      @@caileyrookids That's awesome your mom saw she made a mistake. and I get patching it up. I happen to have mine with me right and it definity needs repairs lol.

      @@lpsjewel same. One of my friends only has one stuffed animal from her childhood because it was the only one she was able to hide from her parents who decided that 10 was way too old for stuffed animals and they threw out the rest.

    Rizz: your ability to get a girl via flirtation and/or charm. Believe me it's totally okay to not have any, but it's the new way for children to assert their dominance over other children
