  • Filled up the system with water, added Hydroton to the buckets and adjusted the float. Have been cycling successfully for almost a week now.

    My biggest suggestion is fuck that hydroton use coco it’s so much better and more forgiving

    with that many buckets and how long it takes to fill and drain I would water once every 3 to 4 hours only because it takes so long to fill and drain your system with so many buckets I have 12 I water every three hours

    I’ve ran 24 5 gal tickets off this ebb monster off a 55 gal res waterd about every 3 hours when the lights are on in coco hydroton is trash coco or rockwol

    Well, Al. I didn't know what that was in those buckets but it looked like Milk Duds. I was going; man is Al hungry or what. I know the bit with the fish as far as seeing it but never did either one. I'll try to see what these hydroton are.

      LOL - it they were Milk Duds there would not be any left for the video :-) Hydroton is expanded clay, it is fairly inert and very light, it must be soaked in 48 hours with PH 4.5 water to stabilize the PH so it does not continue to alkalize the water.

    I do ever 4hrs which is what the manufacturer recommends. I have the active aqua grow flow 2.0
    Growing giant tomatoes and peppers.
