    Kudzai has outlined the Zimbabwe legal processing system ,Buying and Trading . were l disagree with him is that when the gold is sold to Fidelity its supposed to serve as gold reserves in metric tons.
    * it is at Fidelity that the gold reserves are being looted. Thus what the documentary is all about .

    • @teek1860
      @teek1860 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a lie though, only a portion of the gold sold is kept as reserves and that portion is the royalties which are paid by the miners, of which half of those royalties are paid in currency and half in gold.
      Now you bring a new claim which may or may not be true, as it is not in the video that the gold reserves are looted, do you have inside information coz how do you know that if your claim is not part of the expose?

    • @davirivera3000

      @@teek1860 How is it a lie when lm relying wass in the Documetary. 2020 Henrietta Rushwaya was arrested trying to carry 6kgs of Gold .that gold was from the Treasurary Reserve. Scott is Sakupwanya is used by Fidelity/Ed Son's

    • @teek1860
      @teek1860 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@davirivera3000 You said when gold is sold to Fidelity it is supposed to serve as gold reserves in metric tons, which is quite misleading.
      When it is sold to Fidelity, they smelt it, retain royalties of 5%, of which that 5% royalty of the gold, 50% is in currency (40% Zwl$ & %10 USD$) and the remaining 50% is gold.
      So the remaining 95% of the gold is sold, not retained as royalties as you are stating, only 5% is retained as royalties 95% is sold. This is a law that was instated late last year. So I don't know where you get it that gold that is bought is meant to be kept as reserves it's misleading.
      That 95% is the one that is being sold, i didn't see anywhere in the documentary when it exposes that the reserves are being looted, maybe I missed it, please let me know where that is said with timeline.
      Actually if they expose that part then that would be the one thing that holds water as far as looting is concerned otherwise gold is being sold through registered middlemen not looted as far as the documentary reveals..

    • @davirivera3000
      @davirivera3000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      l would rather go by what the former minister of Finance Tendai Biti is saying in that documentary. "80 % of the gold mine in Zimbabwe is being smuggled out of Zimbabwe "
      Gold is smelted in Kwekwe(Roasting plan) and by small scale boilers. not at Fidelity. instead trying to lecture me Boss do your research proper. Tendai Biti is my source in that documentary.

    • @teek1860
      @teek1860 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@davirivera3000 lol you are funny brother man, did I state which location gold is smelted? I said it is smelted by Fidelity, whether they contract or do it in Binga or Mutare it is done by them they bear that responsibility.
      We all know how the gold is being sold so there no secrete there over 90% goes out through the backdoor. I don't know what it is you are now arguing coz there's no contradiction here.
      I only rebutted your false claim that gold that is mined is meant to be kept as reserves. Other things you are bringing in you can argue with someone else..

While it is true that there are small-scale miners in the country, the majority of these miners are artisanal miners (also known as "amakorokoza"). When considering the tools and extraction methods they use, these artisanal miners are actually operating illegally. As a result, there are numerous organizations that have been advocating for these miners to be formalized and brought into compliance with the law.

    As Zimbabweans we trade in gold in whatever way we choose and in anyway we see it fit. The world economy system does not favour us, the system was weponised against us. SABC can come with any words they see it fit to them and call our business whatever form it is to them
    We are a sanctioned country and the only way we can sell our gold is via any means neccessary that do not involve US weaponised SWIFT system. We are surviours and SA should learn from us rather than criticising us. Let me remind South Africa that, this country is now on the Money Laundering list. This is the sanction we were talking about.
    When a country is placed on this list it means all your payments To and Fro via the SWIFT will be delayed and many won't go through. We all know what happens when do not receive your payments in time. This is real threat to SA, its not Zimbabwe. This Story about us is merely and utterly a disturction from the real threat.

      @@melz6617 The economic system is complicated than than you think. Hypothetically speaking, becuase of these sanctions many propagandised Zimbabwean like you do not know that, Zimbabwe is like an Automatic gearbox that does change gears when expected, sometimes it does skip from gear 1 to 4 then car starts to drag or it remains in first gear revving at 4000 RPM (imagine the fuel consumption) or sometimes it simply refuses to engage the first gear and the car goes nowwhere or it does goes from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4. it depends.
      So the issue with unpaid teachers may not be a priority at some point or maybe a priority at some point. It depends. Frankly speaking if Zimbabwe is not doing this, they will absolutely nothing.

    Rutendo's English command is quite impressive. Unfortunately, his criticism of the documentary is very sparse on facts and illogical.
    I am not so sure if Rutendo is just that ignorant or playing to the gallery. The Fidelity process is fraught with corruption; what is supposed to happen and what happens are like daylight/night time. On the issue of court-admissible evidence, his remarks are very flippant. The aspect of testing the evidence can possibly be done elsewhere (maybe in a Speech Forensic Lab) and we cannot outright call the recordings "fake" without technically proving them to be. eg "the voice of technique
    If the gold export/remittances process was that above-board, why does the gold go through opaque export processes (literally being smuggled out at the airport). The benefits that are said to accrue to the primary extractor is no where near what Rutendo alleges viz a viz the possibilities.
    This process is basically just benefiting a select few ( and that cannot be defined as "Zimbabwe-is-benefiting".) Rutendo's take on the "benefits-to-Zimbabwe" is basic "primitive-wealth" accumulation at best. Lots of common people in Zimbabwe are unnecessarily suffering and this is one of the sources. Please spare us the "sanctions" explanation/excuse.
