Richard Blade was the narrator of my Goth/new wave days. His love and knowledge of music really inspired a lot of us in Southern CA who listened to KROQ. His daily Flashback Lunch segments were mandatory and fantastic. In a way, he is our Dick Clark. ⭐ Still listen to him on SiriusXM, he's the best.
Richard, you deserve it. A legendary KROQ DJ, also enjoyed your stint on Video One, both on KHJ Channel 9, and on KDOC, channel 56. You were good with the club appearances, like at Live Bait in Long Beach, Barwinkles in Long Beach, Aftershock in Studio City, Club Planet Earth at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, Yankee Doodles in Woodland Hills, even XIT in Woodland Hills. I even enjoyed your appearances on Hot Seat with Wally George, and you narrating the Wally George documentary that aired on KDOC ten years after his death. I am sorry the surviving members of your favorite band, Depeche Mode, could not make it to the ceremony
Well deserved and his fan club guy said the word "CONTINUES" and he does. He has preserved the integrity of ground breaking music and he is a very nice guy!
