Where can I get a copy of that spread sheet? That makes so fast and easy.😊

You can use the DAC for a STEEL metal to check the aluminum metal by changing the appropriate frequency for the aluminum

    Sir
How is it possible to make 0 db when probe is positioned on 2" thick DS block?

Hi Mike, can you describe the difference between calibration for "vertical linearity" and "calibration of gain controls"? I believe what you are showing is is referenced in AWS D1.1 Sec. 6.30.2 as "dB Accuracy". The vertical linearity calibration is different and uses an external attenuator as per E317 Sec. 6.6. I think what you're doing is absolutely correct, however. Cheers!

When recording the dB, what exactly does AWS require? Is it the actual dB reading, or simply each 6dB increment? For instance, if my machine needs 23dB to reach the 40%FSH, then I add 6dB, do I record 29 or 6?

You just need to quantify a 60 dB range for your machine. In other words, can your machine resolve the indication, for example, between 2.6 dB and 62.6 dB. If you cannot resolve with a spread of 60 dB you can not use the machine for AWS testing.

Hi Kaylie,Unfortunately, it is intellectual property held by the Company and I am not able to share. If you know an Engineer which is proficient in Excel, they should not have a problem putting it together as this is what we have done.

I would so love to have my form auto sum as well. Can you share how the macro is in the form?
