That AC vent design is still present in some of the current Mercs and manage to look futuristic. A mint condition of this car is a dream to own with a deep pocket.
A Mercedes 220 of this old in our native village, which is Yellow in color actually abandoned in the farm house & the owner is died, it's my grandfather's frnds car. And that White cushion is great, the car is very short inside.
I personally like the W124, especially since they had wiper on headlights! 😃 But those were days when Mercs were mechanically over-engineered. Now they just add so much electronics and sensors, that shows error the moment it's out of showrooms. 🙄
Oh my great grandpa had bought a salvaged 1977 250d with 70000kms for 1 Lakh INR in 1983, then spent ₹30000 to bring it back on roads, used it for 7years and sold it for 2 lakhs in 1990 with 120000kms on its odo. No one believes this. BTW 30000 was the price of a new Premier Padmini back then.

The W124 is more iconic. Made in association with Italian designers, in a Porsche factory, because the Merc assembly lines were not equipped with the car dimensions. They fit a V8 engine in there, which made the car bulky. So Porsche made the car in their factory!
it has turn indicators dude!!!! The wiper control stick does it all, windscreen wash, high and low beams, and indicators!! I wish I could post a picture of mine here!!!
you started it wrongly. this is an old diesel. when you turn the key you have to wait until the pre-glowing light disappears. Then you can start it. you are too young for this precious car. This car is much better than every Indian car nowadays.

1984 W123 never got power windows, and i can you show you a better w123 1984 imported LHD! The winder handles have been replaced by Power windows.
