about the hospitals and family helping, I think anywhere but the US is typically exactly like what you found about Thailand. public hospitals lack staff so family does a lot of things, and private ones, allow the family to do stuff like that. im from an eastern culture myself, and taking care of the patients especially when it comes to spouses is not just common it is expected. I have an actual thai example from a different series (one Faye was in) so Faye's character is this young woman forced by her gold-digger mother to marry an old guy for his money. the old guy due to some things has a stroke and he is temporarily paralyzed from waist down, since Faye's character has married the guy, she is expected to nurse him, and there is a scene of him pooping himself and Faye running into the toilet to throw up. when later she pays a nurse to take care of him, instead of her "doing her duty as a good wife" she's criticized heavily. about the point of why anueng called the radio first thing out of coma, I think it is just anueng style🤷♂she loves the drama hahahaha as a last note for this part I would like to express my love for the script writer for changing this entire hospital thing from how it happened in the book. because in the book Khun Nueng was just a visitor and not actively taking care of Anueng, so it felt meh, so the way they did it in the series is soooooo much better and I love it
Thank you for sharing the extra insight into non-USA hospitals. That's really interesting to know how patients are cared for and treated in different parts of the world. That's an interesting role contrast for Faye, to have two very different caretaking scenes between that other series and Blank. Forced nursing does not sound pleasant at all and to be shamed for abdicating from it... that's so sad. And yes!!! Wanasorn made so many changes to Blank the Series that really elevated the source material just like these hospital scenes. It really does add a lot more to the story and the characters.
