So what do you guys think about the GLA 250?
TheStraightPipes In my opinion, Cla coupe as well as cla shooting brake are much cooler.
Looks great from the side and back, God awful from the front.
TheStraightPipes I’d suggest it for the wives who like the badge and higher seating position.
I'm 6'1" and there isn't enough headroom for me. I have to sit askew with my head in the sunroof well. And yes, that is with the seat lowered as much as possible. (This was in the 2017 when I drove one)
TheStraightPipes just another “luxury” car that will depreciate very quickly
I can attest that this car handles AMAZING off road. Took it through the Southern California desert. Handles deep sand (12 inches at least) and was able to make it through rock gardens that I would have never believed it could make it through. Thing has amazing low end torque and crawled through everything bone stock like a champ!

I just bought a fully loaded 2016 GLA, and I’m in love! Hoping to do a resonator delete this week, and also intake, suspension and some other mods in the near future. So far, my biggest pet peeves with it are not having a touch screen, and (as far as I know), when car play is on, I can’t change the songs or navigate the screen through the steering wheel. I’m also excited that a lot of the CLA parts are interchangeable with the GLA.

This is the first car I Ever bought..... after my husband passed. . 2018 GLA 250 Loved the way it looked!! Did not know it was an entry level. Didn't have all the features explained to me and found out It didn't have a garage door opener, no GPS, just Car Play, no cool or heated seats, no push button start, radio sound tinny and terrible. The previous car, 2009 Lincoln MKZ had more stuff on it than this and I figured a Mercedes had everything on it and more than the Lincoln. The dealer took advantage of me. Went back to have him explain the features because I never had GPS or phone in my Lincoln. He didn't have time and the other guy told me he knew nothing about a Mercedes and I should go to the dealer. Suppose to have Run Front tires and it had 3 Michelin and 1 Run Front. They did order me 4 Run Front tires at no charge after going back again!! 47,600 miles. Might sell in a couple years
It's a nice car. I think this is for older people who want something safe, comfortable and not too overpriced for a luxury brand. Plus Jakub's new car teaser, something with a spoiler on the trunk, maybe an older car? Yuri, the sing-a-long at the end was hilarious!
I think you should test a convertible. It seems like there are a lot of E63S and G-Wagon content already out there.

I agree with the "sporty or maxed out" thing. I was choosing between an Elantra Sport and Limited, since they both offered the best mix of reliability and features for the price in my situation.

As per usual, great review, how about the infinity version, QX30. Jakob new car, gti.
Somethings I dislike about the car are, 1) you can not switch between your CarPlay/Android to CD without unplugging your phone and 2) no permanent channel control on the steering wheel. Plus I wish you can turn off that eco stop permanently.

It's interesting that most luxury brands offer "options" that have become standard features in mid-tier brands. But I agree, if you're buying an MB, you're likely going to option it out, adding around $10K to the base model price. Q: can you do a comparison of box tests with similar body style cars? That'll be important I'd think.

Funny thing, it's actually the same engine as the GTI. andthe Inifiti qx30 (i think that's what it's called) that looks exactly like the GLA250 also has the same engine.

They have these as Car2Go's in Calgary and my boyfriend and I rented it to go offroading around Banff. Was dope - especially liked that the nav pane shows the car's tilt % in offroad mode. Loved the Harman Kardon speakers, same as the ones that are in the Mini that you guys liked ;)

Honestly I really like what Mercedes did to the A class when they refreshed it and now it’s a proper competitor to the Golf, A3 and 1 series.. maybe they could’ve upgraded the interior a bit, those T9 buttons look fuzzy and nah some plastic here and there appear cheap! Well not a huge fan of the GLA as a base model, I’d get a Audi Q2! But damn as you’ve mentioned the GLA 45 looks so much better! I remember seeing one (on Czech plates :D) at a petrol station and it had the edition 1 spoilers and orange accents, man that was so bad ass and it’s really low!
I'd love to see you guys have fun more like this video. Also, please review the Fiesta ST. I keep watching the Focus St review but it isn't enough! Also, review all the AMGs, I'd watch it.

I would love to see a comparison of this to the Infiniti qx30 since its the exact same car with a different badge on it.
You might want to check out the Motortrend Ignition review of the Infinity QX30, as they do compare and why they think the Infinity is superior.
Every review I've ever seen of these cars says just the opposite. The Benz is old and tired and drives like crap. Infinity took that car and made it better in pretty much every way.
The Benz has a 0-60 time of 6.9, while the Infiniti does 6.2. It also handles better than the Benz, according to Motortrend. Exterior looks is up to you. It is after all, subjective. You're right about the safety score though. US News Report ranks the Benz better. But barely. I'd take the Infiniti because it's the same solid Benz bones in a much more attractive package. The GLA and the CLA don't even deserve to wear the Benz badge, due to shoddy interior craftsmanship.
Unknown ..You're an idiot. The Gla with the regular 2L gas engine does 0 to 60 in 6.8. I got that from Motortrend. Where do you get your imaginary numbers?
@Highbatros: In the UK the Infiniti is a sort of nothing brand. There are a few in the country, but in all honesty anyone looking to buy an M-B wouldn’t even dream of looking at an Infiniti...

These do look good and I love Mercedes Benz, but my problem with cheaper models of luxury brands is that you can get a completely loaded Kia or Honda or something like that for a lot less money with way more features and they’re pretty much equivalent quality and reliability.
Aaaand I continued watching and you made a similar point, so you’re mostly paying for styling and the name.

Kudos to Mercedes for offering the entry-level CLA, GLA, and A class. These cars look nice inside and out and the specs are fine. However, I think what these cars make up in terms of design and options, they lack in driving dynamic and reliability. I know a couple of CLA and GLA owners who are experiencing the following issues (their Merc dealerships have yet to successfully fix them): door rattles, sunroof rattles, occasional noise from suspension, jerky gear box, engine power delay, occasional paddle shift failure). They're tons more in the Mercedes online forum.
I have a 2015 B250... had to get certain options so kinda did what you were talking about, max budget to optioned out model and tada! Not quite the 'looker' but man do I love the interior. And honestly, I never spend a lot of time looking at the outside of my cars but the time I spend inside means I want a nice interior.
I am a fan of you guys since the day I subscribed, living in the other side of globe I manage to watch all your videos..that outro was LIT .
PS. Today you did a lot of the interior,maybe cause it's a Mercedes and we have to do interiors..but even in other cars it will be awesome if you guys give a better shot on interiors just like today's video.

Hey guys, what kind of lavalier mics do you use? You guys are hilarious it's the only reason why I watch. The reviews are ok I guess.
I would spend $6000 more and get the equivalent GLC, it is a superior vehicle in every way. The GLA feels like a cheap car that has been optioned up, while the GLC (and c-class) feels like a much more expensive vehicle.

I test drove the GLC as well as this, and I'm not sure what you're talking about. Other than the design in the center of the sir events, the interiors and options for both are almost identical. Same thing for the options and features for the rest of both cars. I liked how the GLA handled much better.
Any of the coupé's would be good for the next test (proper coupé tho! none of this 4 door coupé nonsense)
The GLA is built on the A platform that is also used on the A sedan and hatch. So this is more closely related to the A hatch than the CLA, but the fact that the hatch isn't sold in NA is a real downer.
