    Thanks for the video and very well done. Question about that is relevant to the MAC address table tips you have here.. There are times that I try to look up the IP address which is connected to the interface, I looked up the interface and see the MAC, but when I look up the device from ARP, it doesn't show the IP address until I deliberately ping the IP, then it would show up on the arp table. Do you know why this is happening? Thank you.

      So the ARP table bridges the path between Layer 2 and Layer 3. The arp table will be populated by address resolutions that are on the same vlan as your management vlan. If the mac or ip is not showing up in your arp table it is more than likely not in the same vlan that your management is on that device. Therefore you have to ping the device to have the resolution added to your ARP table. This is also why once you have pinged it and it shows up if you were to go back in a couple minutes that address will no longer be in the ARP table.
