Tips for those wondering how to get the E tank without the bubble weapon: slope jump by walking to the left until youre not on the flat part but on the slope, then dashless jump. Dont hold left while jumping but release the movement button so you go up. Repress left to stick to the wall and climb as normal. Spam the jump button as fast as possible to hover on the water. (Ive played this game for 25 years and needed this level of spelling it out for myself...)
Very cool! I never knew that slopes made X jump higher in water, I love learning advanced tech like that! For example I've been playing the MMX games for years but I've also only just recently learned that a dash lemon does double damage! I recently bought the Legacy Collection I've been trying to do minimum revisit runs on every game and it's tough so learning tricks like that helps a ton
@@Alex_Off-Beat i just bought every mega man legacy collection and am going to get a chance to play all the games my parents never bought me. Understandable as there are a LOT of titles. No more having to use an emulator with a crappy controller.
I don't know if you've ever figured it out, but if you use the Silk Shot fully charged in certain stages, you get some items. That spot in Bubble Crab's stage is the best stage to fill up your E-Tanks.
Ugh was this boss fight a pain, I just fought Bubble Crab today, and no joke, I lost FOUR LIVES on this ass-hole! the amount of times he uses his bubble shield ito block my attacks was UBBER annoying, his Crab Dron that can attack you a few minutes gets irritating, and the amount of times Bubble Crab does the "Contact" Damage on me was just....grrrrrrrr! And normal he's not that hard. I may enjoy Mega Man X2, but this game has a lot (and I mean...A LOT) of moments that really gets under my skin, and this boss, alongside Final Stage 2 and MAYBE the Final Boss are those Prime Examples.

I still have no idea how thats supposed to let me jump high enough to reach that. Doin what you describe and my jump still doesn't come close

just figured it out. dash and jump together.
Use the flame wepon and the dash and time it right you might want to use save states aor the wii u's restore point

I can only beat him using the spinning razor weapon. That's the trick to an easy victory
