I know this video is older but I read The Engagement Party earlier this year and loved it. There’s one out titled The Bachelorette Party by Carissa Ann Lynch that I think you’d enjoy too. Also, for the reluctant vibe and isolation setting, try the book She Left by Stacie Grey
I really enjoyed How Can I Help You. I'm sure my enjoyment was multiplied because I worked (for 13 years)🎉 in a small town public library. Lol The library setting descriptions were spot on. I think the author is/was a reference librarian so that might it explain it. 😉
Nice haul! I literally just finished First Lie Wins-it was so good. I started it yesterday, MADE myself put it down last night, then finished it today, so what you were told about not starting it right before bed is true!!
I didn’t read The Push but picked up The Whispers last summer-it’s definitely on the dark neighborhood secrets train. Can’t wait to hear what you think! The Heiress was pretty good, too! I used my last Penguin credit to get First Lie Wins. I’m so bummed that the rewards program is discontinued-I was able to get a few great books though. Love your sweater. 😀
I'm sad about Penguin too. I'm trying to decide what to use my final credits on. I might go for a wildcard (for me) - I'm intrigued by Jo Piazza's The Sicilian Inheritance. It comes out early April and looks to be mystery + historical. Heard great things about it from Olivia Muenter on the Bad on Paper podcast.
A Talent for Murder sounds wonderful. I definitely love fiction surrounding this episode of Agatha Christie’s life. (My favorite was an episode of Doctor Who.) I am also intrigued by The Heiress. Finally, your sweater is lovely.
I also read the Whispers and enjoyed the story but was a little distracted by the number of POVs. It was partly my fault for having more the one book going at a time, and also, this book was written in such a way that it was hard to keep track of who the married people were and how the characters interacted. I also read The Heiress and enjoyed that one. Great haul!
New subscriber here. You seem to have similar tastes as another book tuber I watch called the Rookie Reader. I have been enjoying starting at the beginning of your channel and I have seen some books I would like to read.
I rated The Whispers 5 stars! It was a great thriller but also very thought-provoking in regards to motherhood and female friendships. p.s. I'm editing my comment to say I also rated The Heiress 5 stars as well. There are so many great books to choose from. Happy reading y'all! 🤓
Love that you loved The Whispers. I don't know what took me so long to get it...now I just need to move it from this pile and into my hands. My mood reading is taking me all over the place these days!
Another Audrey!!! Hi!!!!! The sweater is from the Banana Republic Factory Men's department. I got it online before the holidays so worth checking out - they have some insane sales!
Business or Pleasure was so much fun!!!
Would love an update on how timeboxing is working for you! Lots of books on my list to read sometime. TFS!

Love this video! I was going to pass on Rabbit Hole but after hearing you talk about it here…..grabbing it. Will plan the follow up read well.
Love the sweater😱❤️😊

I loved it too!!! I read it pretty quickly but not as fast as you! So happy you loved it too!
Adding some to my wish list!

I 💗 your THRILLER & MYSTERY RECOMMENDATIONS | Books Without Heavy Violence video. Would you be interested in an updated version? Xx
That's a great idea! So happy it was a helpful video. I know not everyone loves or is always in the mood for the darker side 🖤

I'm dipping into the Agatha Christie world more this year and having with it!

Good advice on The Whispers. I usually have two books going at once, so good to know this is one that needs all the focus! So happy you enjoyed it!

So happy you found me. And apologizes in advance for some of those earlier videos...haha! The books are good....I wasn't! LOL!!!!

Great book haul, I just ordered 2 from your list!
Side note: I LOVE your sweater! May I ask where you purchased it? I

Loved First Lie Wins. The hype is real. Read it. 🎯
I agree. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Yes!!! It was great on audio too.
Yes, agree
Audrey, do you need an intervention? How are you ever going to read all those books? I love your videos.
Oh I *definitely* need an intervention. Book collecting is my best/worst habit 🙂
I am so confused. I feel like you have talked about these books before, and hearing about again.
I definitely talked about the new releases in other videos before they came out, but these are my preorders physically rolling in!
