Muhammad Qasim Dilawari What you do with pike noses is just wiggle. Most people will be able pen at least one side of the pike nose, but not both at once. So if you consistently just wiggle left and right just enough, they won't get a guaranteed bounce cause what they can pen is always changing. It's a good way to irritate and tempt people. They'll keep aiming in trying to get a shot off, but they probably won't pen. Add to that, an IS tank with a pike nose will have a low profile, meaning side hugging galore! I've done with an IS-3 against 2 tanks pin one battle on low health for both. Those turrets are amazing

Reverse sidescrapping is better on the original World of Tanks, battles happen at a distance that makes it safe to setup and change position if needed, in blitz you are toast if they rush you in that position, mobile corner holder is technically the best heavy of any tier.

Donny Funaro It's said that you should grind the gun from IS8 and then pick up ST-I. It can be a bit of a punishing stock grind but the armor saves it.
KHALD_ ZH those shouldn't truly sidescrape, since they have their armor already sloped (Russian pike nose) sloping it would make it way weaker. Tanks that don't have pike noses (like all of the KV line) can sidescrape, as the front is relatively weak, but the side along with a steep angle (if you cover the front with a building and angle the sides so it is very steep, it will bounce everything)
KHALD_ ZH don't worry, the line which you described (IS7 line) could be considered the best brawling line. As long as you don't angle the armor will remain trollish :D
The M48 actually doesn't have that good soft stats. Due to its horrid turret traverse dispersion value of 0.10 (which is the most important dispersion stat) its gun handling actually is quite a bit worse than something like the Leo 1 which has a turret traverse dispersion of 0.05. Overall its gun handling is on par with tanks like the E50M and STB-1, which have comparable soft stat and regular dispersion values, respectively.
One dirty trick you haven't mentioned is pinning the enemy I will Never forget a game I had years ago I was rolling with an is7 and e50 we was all one shots and we have to kill an obj704 with full hp he had us all hiding behind one rock on malitvoka the is7 and e50 rushed left and I went right.... The is7 pinning him between a rock and himself before he could reload....leaving me alone with less the 200hp to kill this half hp obj704 he couldn't move at all hard to push 68tons....I have seen this happen more then once and in desperate times when u know ur dead might as well take them with you.
