It was something else. Whenever I see someplace like Phuktal, it blows my mind how they managed to build it. A line goes through my head from "Field of Dreams" - "build it and they will come..."
We were there in July. And as I said, the heat just radiates off the canyons in all directions with no shade. The monastery itself was fabulous but the heat, a killer and it didn't help that one of our guides ran ahead with my water bottle leaving me ready to drop from the heat! Hope you enjoy it! We are ready for that one day trek from Purne - Phuktal - Purne camp grounds. Can we do Padum - Purne in one day and then again Purne - Padum the last day?
Can you please tell me how far the road has been built towards Purne from Ichar Village. We have just three days for this trek next week aftre our local sightseeing in Padum. We desparately want to do this trek. Can you tell how far the roads are there?
Fast Trekkers and locals do it all the time. It will depend how you acclimatize, how fast you are and how many hours you want to trek each day. It's not "difficult" but you are at altitude and there are ups and downs! The road doesn't go beyond Ichar Village and it is a long walk. Good luck! Best regards, Travels With Sheila

Hinduism is a beautiful religion. I am happy for me that i am a hindu and do not worry if others are following other paths. Only fanatics say that their faith is the true one and all others are false. Stupid animals only say that other religions are false.
