If Stronghold has diplomacy mode, that would be more fun. I've seen that in AoE2 and instead of feeling safe, people might fear of having their kings being sold.

Actually, a cut-off lookout tower is a very bad idea to put your Lord on. When the tower is destroyed, Lord loses 50% hp as any other tower-mounted unit would, and lookout towers can be destroyed fairly quickly even by a couple slaves.

I played Stronghold (including Crusader) for nearly two decades and I'm still amazed by fact that lord's primary function is to not get killed (and when he's directly threatened it's usually game over anyway).

Move your entire "castle" to the corner of the map, including the stockpile, leaving only the unemployed peasant around the keep with a single tower as far as possible away from your keep, and a couple of fire balistas to defend your new settlement.
No he meant the whole production buildings, and I guess the mission is misty river. I usually block the south Richard with one tower and about 30 Arabian archers, this turns the mission into an 1v1

Then you just delete the line of stockpiles starting at the keep and the last stockpile in the line is where you can setup a new base for production.

Yes, you can delete the original, but if it is your only stockpile, the next one you build must still touch the keep. Thats why the work around is to make a stockpile trail, then delete the stockpiles starting from the keep to "relocate" your resource depot. But if you can skip that step, then all the better!

Nice tricks! I would argue that "pro player" tier is better than "legendary" tier because you could, theoretically, make a bunch of these structures and the enemy would not know where the Lord is until they dig up the moat and break down the walls. Legendary tier you can see where the Lord is.
Real players can see the Persain Stronghold Subscriber's trick, but for the Level 4 Legendary, they will have to remove the water and it takes time, until they will die from our archers or we will summon some knights etc. I liked the level 4 Legendary!

thats literally what knights are for. you send them out through a side gate and flank around the enemy line and destroy their siege equipment then retreat back

Firefly needs to come up with a state of the art remake but still close to the orginal game. 2D is fine just way better graphics, more building options, troops etc.

You really want to fuck up your Stronghold Crusader AI opponents? Place a lumberjack hut directly in front of the gate. Or place it inside the fortress to block certain ways which eventually results in the AI deleting certain buildings and fckng up his own economy. Some of them even light their whole fortress up when they try to destroy your hut....

Vs an enemy player I think the invisible unit trick works better, no? If you simply surround your king with water pots, any enemy who isn't AI will try to cut it down. Meanwhile as to why AI doesn't go for it... Is it because AI don't think water pots are very important?

I mean the lord is basically you. If you die it's game over, no way to run a kingdom when you're rotting in the desert being eaten by vultures.

Nothing of it matters in multiplayer matches since you can just simply turn on the flat view to hide all structures and instantly see the lord.
@@MrPablosek That's why you hide your Lord inside the keep, it can't be destroyed and enemy troops can just go on top of it :)
