This is the final promotional video for Touhou Abyss Soul Lotus (東方雪蓮華), scheduled to release on February 3nd, 2023, about a week from today.
Abyss Soul Lotus is produced by the same development team as Shining Shooting Star. It would be an understatement to say that I and many others in the fangame community are very, VERY excited for this game to finally come out. We've been waiting for years (the first demo released in fall 2018)! It's time to get hyped! Expect gameplay and music uploads once the game comes out, as usual.

I'm happy that this game is finally coming out. Have been vibing to the rabbit's ost for a while since demo days. Can't wait to play the full version!

It's been a long time since the last Trailer. Sadly, Sanae isn't playable as they show in the demo test videos. But we got the religion Rival Team so that's OK.

Not that long ago I was searching around for info about what happened to this game but the language barrier kinda stopped me from getting anything. I'm so happy that it's finally releasing.
On the other hand, while I was searching for info I also found out that apparently the team behind Blue Devil in the Belvedere disbanded almost immediately after the game released. That was a real bummer to see since this was one of my favourite Touhou games and i spent over a year being excited about what they will do next only to find out that all this excitement was wasted :/

Yeah that team disbanding is one of the greatest shames of the fan game world. As I understand it, there was some drama within the team, but I didn't dig deeply into it.

Another thing is I think this might be SSS team's last game too. Can't imagine how burned out they must be after spending 5 years making one game

I really hope that the same won't happen to Fantastic Danmaku Festival 3. If it follows the pattern and is an Imperishable Night remake then they have a lot of work ahead that might burn them out.
