I've now got close to 500 games all told in my various libraries that at my age I may not live long enough to finish them all but that doesn't mean I won't try or stop buying those that I find interesting. The story is pretty cool ! Seems like the kind of game where you ignore the fuzzy graphics and somehow feel immersed anyway. As a RPG fan, I am excited about this game! Thanks for making a video about it.
I am not a fan though of the inventory management, while the game offers many tools, crafting materials, loot, etc. That hampers the fun and immersion, unless we later find backpacks, satchels, static storage.
Man, while I'm definitely glad early access allows more games community feedback and funding.. I do wish more games just came out finished, this looks sweet, I too want to play it now lol. Another game to add to my huge pile of in development games! Next few years should be full of good releases, at least

This is basically a similar game that really would've been better to be a single-player adventure from the start. I think they will do much better in this case, especially if they receive the funding they need.
This game reminds me so much of Dungeon Siege and I love everything about this. Dungeon Siege was my first RPG experience and this looks to be right up my alley. It is now at the top of my steam wish list and I look forward to seeing what this game has in store. One morning as I was eating, a little mouse came out from under the stove, stopped when it noticed me as if to say, "are you going to hurt me?" Then when I didn't move, it trotted over to the cat's bowl, took a bit of kibble and walked back under the stove. I didn't have the heart to kill it, it was so adorable. Fortunately I guess, the cat didn't have such weakness, and I found its body the next morning. Quite a few friends of mine have had rats as pets, and they're more playful than one would imagine. However, since I prefer super-playful, I've only had ferrets, which, though they're actually not related, I like to call a "stretch-job rat" or a "rat limo". 😁Added bonus: a ferret I had, though quite gentle, still made a great cat-torture device. She learned how to climb up the back of the couch and jump on one of the cats, clamping down on the nearest one's collar to go for a "cat ride" as the cat bolted off spooked.

This looks quite cool. I'd like to see what the magic school is like. My main aim in any rpg is making some sorta jedi-esque character and so some sorta buffing outside of combat would be good
About rats and guilt : the only rat I killed was super cute and looked me in the eyes pleading, as it was very wounded from the trap I had placed. I felt horrible and still do (I remember it well). I vowed to use non lethal traps or at least efficient ones that don't just injure gravely. Nb : there is a missing part to the story. I took the rat or mouse (it did not resist nor fight) and brought it out in the winter snow to give it mercy, but some dog (I think it was a dog) chased the poor one and ended its suffering in my place.
Glue traps are the debbil. No I don't want mice (harvest mice are a thing here) but either a live trap or insta-death is far better. BTW I have doggoes. Keeshonden aren't ratters. I've heard stories that the Dutch barges needed both a terrier and a Keesie because the Keeshonden did not kill

So glad you did this video, the demo start is, well, slow, I kind of gave up on the demo after 6 or 8 minutes of story time. I'll go back and give it a 2nd go.
The intro to this video reminded me of a question that I've been wondering about since I found this channel: Splat, how many games do you have on your Steam wishlist? I imagine you do a lot of adding and removing, especially after making these videos.
I think most likely this game is built on the back of the dev's other game, that was a MMO type game. That EA never finished, kind of makes me scared this one won't either...but sofar looks good, just think I'll wait until after it's finished, unless it's super cheap to begin with.

Looks like the creators originally had an MMO called Gran Skrea Online. This looks like the single player version of it as the MMO ultimately failed sadly. Would have liked to play it too. Would have been great if they had implemented a dedicated server system so it could live on. Great vids and content :)

This is an indie game? The devs are definitely capable and seem to know what they're trying to make. They made one other game called Gran Skrea Online, which was legit indie MMO. The bad reviews on the now dead game's steampage seem to be left by people who had 50+ hours in the game, complaining about it dying. I think I'll play this one.
As a huge fan of Runescape, both Old School and current one, this has me extremely intrigued. A little bummed you can't be either male or female but according to the steam discussion page the dev is looking into it. Will probably wait a bit though untill full release maybe. I've got too many games on the go already

It does look like there will be multiplayer but for now being single player makes me really excited. I like that you’re free to level up what you fancy and explore where you fancy to a degree.

Skill driven character advancement (ie runescape / ultima styled leveling) is something I have lusted for in a single player experience.

"Wake up, sleepyhead" is a PTSD trigger for the Chrono series (pun intended)
Sometimes with interesting games like this one I wish you'd have hour long videos of them instead of the normal 30 minutes(Ish) you usually give them.
