This looks like when a stock has expected good earnings and the share price rises. Earning call happens and reports better than expected, then the stock drops. The money was made on the hype of the news not on the actual event.
Kind of but imagine the volume of these markets is 1/10, the speculators are near 75% of the activity, and the swings are 10x more violent. The GE is a stock market clone, so it makes sense when you think of it that way.

Look at what happened to craws bow and blood shards. Look at every item. Its either crashed or exploded in price. This is a market event, not a correction. Would love to see an update to this list (or more Raids 3 specifics with low-high lvl gear) next week & hear your thoughts on the price hikes through the weekend. Take the Dragon Pickaxe for example: It's going through the roof vs the decline it was showing (though tbh, lots of other items showed similar), since we can store it in the challenge room. I went back on the main with 0 value to my name, got 2 Blood Shards from pickpocketing 2,300 Vyre & was excited to get Blowpipe, Ahrims, Brimstone, Fury, D-Pick, & supplies.....haha oh, I was sorely misjudged on how much the prices were going to increase 😂 But that's my bad & I'm still excited to get some gear when things mellow out & have fun in Entry Mode for now.
There is absolutely gonna be poisonous/Venomous monsters in the raid. So serp helmet being useful makes sense. D pick to kalphite queen is lit because she had no good drops.
Thing about serp helm is that most of the desert foes are either poisonous or venomous, and its -3 str under the Torva helm, meaning u only trade 1 max damage for an extra inventory slot.
@@pablodiaz340 I think the kalphite boss was supposed to poison, and thats the reason the serp went. With 1 max hit being your main downside and a price difference of atleast 100m, serp is still viable if the anti-poison is useable.
bit of a curiosity but can you investigate why white beads are going for 5k? is there some sort of price manipulation? just its an item that traditonally goes for 1-2k for a f2p quest item. as well weird buyable quest items like fish food and poison (for ernest the chicken) are approaching 1k. is there some weird collector market going on here?

Bcp, tassys, and acb all crashed right after the release because of merchers dumping. Don't panic buy/sell anything. Let it settle and don't merch yourself.

The bond market might be affected by a lack of leagues this year. I wouldnt put my stock in bonds continuing to increase with new server + replacing leagues in the lineup this year because it likely wont be as popular

I'm sure hundreds of players have been slowly buying items in anticipation of a large price increase when the raid drops. Which probably sounds like a solid idea if you don't think to hard about it. The amount of players who are raid ready but lack items is most likely a very small subset of the community. Runescape is a game about accumulating wealth, so while there are enough players who buy and sell main gear depending on their current objective, that number shrinks every day. Players slowly make enough gp or get the items as drops that they aren't buying/selling it anymore. I expect in a game the size of runescape, when raids launches, the demand for items would probably be enough for 50 hardcore and dedicated market flippers and investors. A few hundred billion GP. But there's likely far more and probably in the trillions of GP worth of items people are trying to now profit on. Finally, account for the fact that a big motivator for the prices slowly rising is people trying to prepare for the raid personally or trying to invest for the future.

All the price run ups were investments from the games largest merching clans, they have started slowly dumping, all the gear is gonna crash in the weeks coming up after the raid.
The reason for the crashes is because the people who horded these items for a proffet are now dump selling their items a few days before the content release. Garentee it.
They're practically worthless. There's not really a situation where they're better than any other boot. They offer no magic damage bonus, and magic bonus in general is pretty irrelevant in places you generally mage. You're better off using Devout Boots when you're maging or Brimstone/Primordial boots if you are hybriding.

I feel that KQ will **maybe** be a easier kill with the new yellow-buffed one-hand melee; but we will see soon enough.
Kq will always hit like a truck due to her attacks ignores defense therefore long (solo) trips will be very hard.

Doesn't it kind of make sense for the acp and bcp to go back down since the players that can afford torva or the new range stuff already have bandos and armadyl, so thre's no new demand? The bcp used to make the torva is replaced by the player buying the torva selling their bandos.

The market is becoming more liquid before raids 3 so that players can buy the items they need when strats are revealed
This means the demand in the market is crashing in general and so will the value of items as people panic to sell them
It makes little sense to buy gear for raids 3 without knowing what you're going to be doing

That’s exactly it, you don’t want to be holding tbow day of release and try and sell it when it’s clear it’s not the meta and everyone is selling theirs to buy a staff or arcane or whatever. Sold a few days ago at 1.160, thankfully!
