Ok, AMD RX was a thing long before RTX was even leaked. First AMD RX GPU's were released around 2012-2014 I think. On everything else 100% agree. Naming scheme change is stupid.
@@OllieMartinGamer There was a portion he mentioned that AMD tries to name their cards similar to Nvidia, that is true to some extent. But then he said that the RX lineup came trying to sound close to RTX which just isn't true.
Well, you do have a total cache on the 7800X3D and 9800X3D of 104.5 MB. From the slide, L2 cache remains 1MB per core (there are 4 less MB of total cache in the 9900X3D and also 4 less cores), so about 20% - give or take - of the increased cache comes from the core count. They're not comparing 144 against 96, but against 104.5. 40 MB is still a lot (5600G here so that's more than my total cache), but you still gain 1MB per core as on the previous gens.
Your right and it piss*s us all off, intel bringing in the low price pressure is going to be a good thing for fighting Nvidia and AMD, AMD needs to double down on its old philosophy of providing value but they also want a piece of that GPU gold rush which is such a let down, happy in 2nd place is such a bad spot to be in, hopefully intel wakes them up
Give them 1 year they will drop prices again and will be good power/money. Also looking at leaked prices of Nvidia 5000. Most of us will not be able to afford those.
I remember people dogging NVIDIA for not releasing FG on hardware that doesnt have the right optical cores. So time to do the same to AMD and FSR4 with their AI cores on the 6000 and 7000 cards
Why the hell are we getting a mobile refresh so quickly? I just bought an HX 365 on Black Friday! I know it's just incremental, but damn, it released in June, and I got it in November-5 months. NVIDIA does their releases every 2 years; I don't see how it could improve so much in such a short time to warrant a refresh. Edit: And RDNA 3.5 better support FSR 4 otherwise what was the point of calling it "AI". Reposted.

The real question is: why is anyone waiting for the 9070 or the 9070xt? It’s not even faster than their last gen second best graphics card the 7900 xt.
@@Sharki33I think it was just smoke and mirrors and was never really equivalent to Nvidia's Tensor Cores. 🫡. Also, AMD's RT has never been a full-fledged analogue of NVIDIA's RT. There are analyses on the Internet, and AMD's RT was not full-fledged in terms of calculations.
This makes no sense. They should still be able to execute the same hardware instructions. If those "AI accelerators" can't execute the most important instructions used by AI, they're not AI accelerators.

Oh Nooooooooooo, not again
Ohhh brother
Most BS keynote ever
Another AMD L, coming from a guy owning AMD stuff.

The "RX" branding did not come from Nvidias RTX.
AMD had "RX" 480 far before RTX even was a thing.
RX 2xx was way before RTX. 2013 is when those cards hit the scene
They are talking about the numbering not the RX bit

They fumble the bag every freaking time!
Once again AMD fumbles a live event... they can't even announce the RDNA4 GPUs because they are scared of NVIDIA...
True hidden strategy: they force Nvidia name prices to be able to nail that competition.

By tradition, AMD will always show prices after the nvidia event.
They don;'t want to undercut them too much .. they in for the dough.
They will never win in the gpu space

Fine AMD, I'll go team green. Are u happy?
Just got back from class to check this out. i'm hyped for amds new generation of flops
oh? no radeon announcement? I've been played for a fool by AiMD? might as well crush my nuts and buy another billion gt1030s

6000 and 7000 don't have AI cores. they have AI accelerator.
@SapiaNt0mata you saying there are no specialized AI cores on those GPUs, that the accelerator is only software? I can assure you, that is wrong
We don’t know yet if it really only works with the 9070 series
With that number of new models just today i think naming might be a bit harder than it seems at glance lol
That was terrible by Amd... Its handing out the victory cup to Nvidia...
The number is the number of iteration of their design. The number 8 means 8th part from the series.

Let's hope AMD is still holding the 9000 series just to adjust the price compared to the 5000 series or we will be doomed with nvidia prices😅

It's time to stop.... STOP IT
the reason that only 9000 will get fsr4 is cause it's the only line that has AI cores. 7000 has AI accelerators. not cores.
What's the difference? Please

Rdna 4 doesn't have specific AI cores. They still have accelerators but better ones according to the slides.
