Web design/development can be tricky, especially when you’re just starting out. I did it as part of my job at a marketing agency for years, but as a freelancer - after a couple of web assignments - I was quick to take it off my services list. Designing and building a website as such isn’t hard once you learn it. But everything around it can get you in trouble. I’m talking all kinds of costs that you have to cover and can’t always 1-on-1 charge the client, not having a team around you to help with tech support etc. I’m not at all saying this to scare you away from it, just sharing my experience since you asked for viewers’ opinions.
Bro keep it going man I'm a Laravel developer from Suriname staying in Holland the first struggle I had with providing websites was pricing but I see you handel it easy
Great video! But be careful of “The Shining Object Syndrom”. It’s a common issue every new entrepreneur faces in his journey. Every new project you start feel exiting in the beginning. But soon after you start, all the initial motivation will face away and it starts to become more boring. Your mind starts searching for something new and exciting. So, every new project you think of at that moment will feel cooler and more exciting. But when you switch, you end up exactly at the same position you were when you started the initial project. Choose one project and stick to it until you succeed. Only switch when you fail. Good luck.
Editing in Premiere, After Effects en Media Encoder.
My father had a business like yours but he sold it, but you can earn up to 8k with a singular (very big) website. So you should definitely keep working hard and finding good connections.
You have allot of demand, but also allot of concurrents. So finding the customers is the most important thing to do. My dad started very early without allot of concurrents, so you will have a harder time. But it’s definitely possible, definitely with your personality.
Real talk, You should stick with your current business plan. Because in both businesses depends on marketing on getting clients in. Right now you’re getting clients in for web development. Secure the bag !! Though you are right about video editing for content creators the market for content creators by 2030 will be over $1.5 billion. So it’s certainly not a bad idea. But right now again SECURE THE BAG !
The only mistake was selling yourself for 100€. Even if it's for filling your portfolio you'll learn through experience that the clients that pay the most are the easiest and most grateful ones when the ones that pay the least are an insane headache... ALWAYS value your time, this is time you'll never get back. And you're time whatever your experience may be, for this type of work is not a 100€. You're going to give the hours and do the work. This is worth already minimum 1.5-2k€ for the service your described.
So cool to find content like yours here 👌🏻 so inspiring to follow ✨ I’m also from Belgium, so if you ever have any questions or need help with design, video, or photography, feel free to reach out!
You need to be focused and be constant. Think about your brand and have a plan. If I want to be a client and check out your material I would be fearfull because you make me think that you switch your idea as you like.
Yeah it's much better to start a business with a skill you already have (such as video editing). Since you have a software engineering background, couldn't you do something with that ?
finish your project before switching, it will pay off in the long run to finish everything you promised clients. EVEN IF you are going to change the business
I think you have to see what feels the best and what you like the most, but maybe a question that i have why do this or that when you maybe can do this and that. I don't know nice video btw 🔥
Stick to your current businessplan for the time being and make a final decision after some time, your clients are just starting to roll in!

Why not both?
It takes a lot of time to do both
You should stick to the project! In the end, you will be more satisfied because you have ventured into an unknown domain
