Patrick, this just made my day. The cubs are adventurous, playful, and a handful for Simone. Simone isn't affected by Bella's bark..just acts as though she has to bark to be in the vlog. I'm surprised the cubs haven't tried to get into the chairs. Here's to a great weekend and greetings to all mothers -as without them, we wouldn't exist.

Yikes, I think of all the dangers & concerns it is to raise a human I can't imagine living day in and day out not ever knowing what is around the next bend, where the food is each day, sleeping in the rain & cold outside (I'd have to find a 5-star cave!) with 4 kids that I must raise as a single-bear mommy.

I think you are correct.

The cubs did a very thorough inspection of Patrick's porch. I love watching Simone and her little bear family. And I think the cubs view the water tub as a kiddie pool.

LOL, oh yes for sure and she can go visit Dr.Michael Ruiz's place where she knows it is plentiful minty flavor grass there. 💘The babysitter ,the cubs will eventually show mom where the " Nanny babysitter " tree is at ,once she sees them up in the tree resting or laying on a branch she knows she can creep away to Patrick's place.😂👍

I love the way Simone always takes her disappointment so calmly. She is definitely a sweetheart and sets a good example for her little ones. As always, thank you for all the joy you bring us.
Simone is so well-behaved. She knows what she wants and at times can be a little pushy, but she is very gentle. The little rascals can be happy to have her as a mum.

Shes a good mom, always looking around to make sure the cubbies are in sight. It seemed like she and the kids wanted to stay on your porch out of the rain. I wonder what was behind her approaching you to sniff - maybe to remonstrate for the lack of birdseed. I think one morning you're going to find the whole batch sleeping in a pile outside your door. I loved it when Simone got really close to Patrick and took a couple of deep sniffs. She obviously didn't trust Patrick when he said he had nothing in his pockets, LOL. And those little Ninjas! They will keep Patrick on his toes all summer. 💕🐻🐻🐻🐻

Its funny that you mention it because if you play back the video, you will see Simone just implying sitting there on the porch looking out to the grass as if she lives there or that's her home. I thought that was quite epic to see also.

@@ymhktravel There's a longterm bear study going on in NC, the ear tags are there to keep an eye on the bears and their movements. She used to have a massive collar on too, but I'm glad that's gone, all the bears that had collars looked very uncomfortable with it.

Yes I know they are “wild animals” but Simone and her cubs are just the most adorable and cheeky group of bears, she simply loves and respects Mr Conley and it’s not about the birdseed she’s a magnificent big beast, the birdseed is just the occasional wee snack and an excuse to see her friend and safely be with her cubs, no ifs no buts just pure joy. Thank you for your mutual respect and kindness Mr Conley and Milo for the loan of the chair 😂 your videos are amazing. Keep well, enjoy your weekend. 🥰🏴🇬🇧

As for a cub standing in the water bowl, what do you expect when the bowl is just the right size for a cub? Of course it's a kiddie pool! And it's so close to the porch playground.

That close up of Simone, was a little scary, but you can see the intelligence in her eyes. The little ones are growing so fast.

Meeeeee tooooo!!! It was like she was right next to me, and very sudden!!! I'm just naturally jumpy anyway though. Also I always turn my phone's volume all the way up for these video's so that i can hear what Patrick is saying, very softly.....so THAT didn't help....either!

I love the understanding and trust relationship between you all. It’s simply awe inspiring! With that said, even though Simone was completely non-threatening, if I’d been the recipient of the close up investigation sniff a change of pants would have been in order! That *is* a mama bear with her four cubs. Yikes!!!!
black bears and cubs are completely different than brown bear and cubs, Pennsylvania has a few excellent videos on black bear study, a lot of good info on them
@@tomgiorgini9154 Well, to be fair there are some videos that show brown/grizzly moms close to humans with their cubs and not feeling threatened, so it can happen. It's just not that common unfortunately. But hopefully as they get more used to people, their hyper protective instincts will be lessened or no longer directed at humans posing no threat to them or their cubs.
We don't have bears in our country, I wonder if bears aren't afraid so near to people they possible can be shot more easy. Not everybody is so calm as Patrick.

I love the way Simone was just taking a minute to herself, as if she was saying, "you watch them for a while, while I get them out of my hair for a few." Don't feel bad Simone, I was a father (well, still am), and totally understand. I only had one, but at times I could swear she had the energy of a dozen, while I was so exhausted from work and child raising i could barely get out of bed!!!

I live in the Netherlands and my daily garden visitors are ducks, turtle doves, ringneck parakeets, magpies, sparrows, but no bears 😢 I give them bird seed too.

It's all part of their mommy training. They need to learn about things at a young age before you know it Simone knows she will have to let them go off and be independent.

I would pay to get to sit there on the porch with you and witness all of God’s beautiful creation from your front porch!I think I would chicken out and go inside with Mrs.Patrick when the bears actually get up on the porch though!I’m just a scaredy-cat when things get a little too close! I was under my house trying to repair a leaky pipe and looked up to see an extremely long rat snake raised up staring at me and I thought I was going to have to make a new door under my house because he was all stretched out over the doorway.So the only way out was to go out under this 6-7foot long snake & I am horribly afraid of all snakes.I finally made it out,knocking my little grandson down as I ran out threw the doorway leaving my brother under the house while screaming ,”kill it,kill it,kill it!”He told me that the snake would keep mice away. I told him that I would rather have mice crawling all over my house than that snake possibly getting inside my house!For weeks I was so afraid of opening a cabinet or closet or a drawer and having that huge snake jump,or slither out!I’m still traumatized!I’ll never forget how he was raised up about 6 inches with his head turned sideways staring at me!That was about 13 years ago and I have been under my house twice since then but only long enough to grab what I absolutely had to have and right back out!For all I know there may be thousands of snakes under there by now and they can have whatever’s left underneath the house,there’s nothing I need badly enough to go back under there!
Sitting at the bottom of the stairs looking at you, it looks like she was trying to get her Jedi Mind Tricks to work on you putting more food in that feeder!
