    Since the 80's, SSPX has wasted the perfect opportunity to gather disaffected trads from the cesspool of the conciliar church. The endless dialogue with Rome, the dashed hopes, the veering from a barely concealed sedevacantist, to the "accommodationist" position. They played right into the hands of the divide and destroy strategy of the clever sticks in the Vatican hierarchy. It is exhausting to try to reconcile the slow deconstruction of Church teaching and practice over the past 50 some years, with an increasingly uncompromising, hysterical contention that JPII and Francis are true Popes. And so we find ourselves today with a "pope" who clearly and incontrovertibly has repudiated Roman Catholicism, despises it. But those who have been brought down in little steps, continue to argue that he is a true pope. The "spin" goes on and on.

    It's quite sad to see SSPX and sedevacantists fighting each other when both are clearly motivated by their love for the Catholic Church. The SSPX is itself treated with great disdain by the ecclesiastical hierarchy, I don't understand why they would attack sedevacantists so much. I consider myself closer to the SSPX position, but sedevacantists just love the Catholic Church and want to restore it to its full greatness.

      Yes I once sent my children to the local new order Catholic parish school with the understanding that our children would not go to the new mass. This they allowed. We had a new Head of school who was amazed to see a line of children leaving the school because of the new mass happening at that time. I was called into the Heads office to explain the agreement with the school. I explained that we were SSPX. The Head asked if we believed that Benedict XVl was the Pope. I said yes it's just that we mostly ignored him! Later two of our children were sent to the SSPX school, one was home schooled and one is in a special needs school. The local parish school kept their word I am glad to say although it was better than most Catholic schools. I am not sedevacantist myself because I feel it provides no solution for correcting the disasters but I can see why people are. It is a pity that Bishop Fellay has not really prudent in handling the situation. Hopefully he getting wiser. Still I could gain by being wiser too.

      @@ingridlinbohm7682 How can you claim that Benedict XVI was Pope, but then mostly ignore him? That goes against Catholic teachings. Sedevacantism does not inherently propose a solution to the crisis, but it's the only theologically consistent position to hold. If we hold fast, pray, and have faith, God will deliver us. Perhaps it is not within our lifetimes, but the church will eventually exit its eclipse and either we receive a new, valid pope, or Christ returns.

    You being a former SSPX priest divide Catholics into sedevacantists and non-sedevacantists, and compare the conflict with the infighting of traditionalists. But if someone accepts Francis as a Pope, he is not Catholic.

    • @AJ-ox8xy
      @AJ-ox8xy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I have transitioned from Novus Ordo to traditional R&R to Sedevacantist because of the division in the Church between those that attempt to rationalize Heresy and Heretics. If you proclaim Francis is not a Pope, but Benedict or even JohnPII was an authentic Pope, then you are illogical and or ignorant as to the progression from the Traditional Catholic faith and the New Order we have today.
      Those who accept Vatican 2 and the Popes elected underneath it, can not be authentic if we accept the faith as it was practiced for centuries before Vatican 2. Especially if you understand the infiltration of Modernists into the Church.
      A Pope can not willingly lead the Church astray otherwise they give up their authority and serve the god of this world. Thus if we believe in Christ's Word and understand the Church can not be led astray, that means the only conclusive position an authentic honest faith seeking Catholic can determine is the Holy See has been vacant for decades and Rome/Vatican overtaken by imposters, which is plain to see if you pay attention to the inner workings and dealings of those in the Vatican.
      This was all brought about with Vatican 2 being implemented, the modernists took over the hierarchy and have controlled the Church as a means for Globalists across the world to piggy back off of and lower the morality along with increase the division among Christians and Catholics.
      Thus every Pope after Pius the 12th must have been elected by those Globalists through the Modernists sects with the goal of every new Pope lowering the morality and further reducing the authority and reputation of the Church with scandal and watered down teaching, that increased confusion among the laity.

      Rev. Anthony Cekada Father, thanks for you response. You threw me off... I didn’t expect a response.
      Regarding Ordinations, we send them all over the world. For instance, the society is working on St. Michaels priory in Africa. There is massive growth for them in the Philippines. I don’t see why God would Will that to happen, and if sedevecantism was true, allow y’all to have very low Numbers.

    • @theromanbaron
      @theromanbaron 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rev. Anthony Cekada Plus, i do know that all 16 Priests ordained this year were young men who came from the seminary. So they were Formed by the Society. I do know of Novus ordo priests who flee their diocese for the sspx, but then we have another issue of the validity of
      The New Rite Ordinations.
      1. The new rite isn’t the Roman rite, so if cannot be compared to the Roman rite, this includes using documents regarding the Roman rite.
      2. Since we Both believe the Novus ordo is it’s own rite, we have to see that the Byzantine rite also is its own rite with its own Form for Ordinations... Therefore, how can we say the Novus ordo is invalid if it Kept the Invocation Of the Office Of the priest, and the Holy Ghost?
      Anyways, I appreciate your time to answer me, Father. I sincerely enjoy a lot of your
      Material and I think you’re a wonderful theologian. I am just a common “Spixxie” so, that’s where we can draw the line to disagree.

      Pentecostalism also enjoys "massive growth," so that's not much of an indicator. But SSPX does have tremendous success formula: saying it "recognizes" the pope, but never getting around to actually being SUBJECT to him. This is the Gallican goose that never fails to lay golden eggs.
