it still amzes me how much quality you put into those Lego reviews considering that it is basically just a review of a toy and comparing it to other creators who run the scene like MandR and Solid Brix.

Yeah that fang fighter is quite underwhelming, pretty boring and odd… or out of place.
BUT that tie interceptor is stunning! Don’t think it could possibly get better! Truly an outstanding job done by Lego.

Man, my father basically gifted me the UCS Interceptor, it is difficult to justify the purchase of a playscale one, but gosh, this is a rare one and might not come for years after retirement. Very difficult decision....

If you really like tie fighters that much, I would suggest you take a look at the Jerac' s model. The design is incredible and you can buy the instructions if you want to.

Great review, I would've gotten this but the quality of the fang fighter turned me from it. It's original adaption in the animated show rebels had the fighters with fully rotating wings, not the worst but severely disappointing as a fan of the fighter

I think they had to simplify the fang-fighter to not go over the price-point.
I personally would've made the Tie Interceptor just a 2 studs scale smaller/shorter and would've added the Fang-fighters rotating fight function to it to make it more interesting.
But I'm not unhappy, its the once set I bought this year.

Are you sure about the weight? 1280g for 957 pieces seems high, unless you are talking about the boxed set itself.
