This is heartbreaking. I mean, the whole DLC is silly and ridiculous, but she's always trying to deny that Roland and Bloodwing are dead because she just can't accept their deaths. And here, we see her really come to grips with Roland's death, and she tosses Bloodwing in there to boot. When she hugs Roland's statue at the end... that's the icing on the cake. "Goodbye." These aren't tears, they are liquid eridium.
I thought the moment Bloodwing saves Roland in her story was beautiful. Basically they are alive in her story forever and in their hearts, until a time where they can all be together again...:)
She is just a kid and kids sometimes just don't want to hear that the person that they cared about passed away I think we'll have felt that way one time in life

If people think enemies and characters in this game are "insane", they have no idea. Sure, the psychos are actually insane, but the bandits are not. They were former Dahl employees who had to survive any way they could. Tina's parents were victims of Jack's slag experiments, and she was lucky to have inherited her parents' bomb-making skills. I imagine the bandits didn't kill her because she was a child, and she could supply them with various forms of explosives. The rats are cannibals not because they're insane, but because they were mutated as a result of Hyperion experiments. Also, The Pre-Sequel implies that the rats are former Hyperion employees who got mutated from an infection that spread within The Veins Of Helios. It can be speculated that these "boils' found a way to reach Pandora, and people on Pandora started calling them 'Rats'. Even Shade, as creepy and unnerving as he is, went insane for a reason. People think Borderlands is just a game consisting of comedy and "shooting things", but there is so much going on beneath the surface.
It's a vast world to explore! Heck, there are even books on the Borderlands universe that make the stories even MORE immersive. It's kind of like what Halo did. I love this franchise! ^_^

I think its good that this DLC showed more depth of Tina, who had become a fan favorite since her debute in the trailers. We never knew her relationship with Roland till now. I get the feeling that she saw Roland as a fatherly figure, one she lost already. To me, this is why she didn't want to accept it, because the death of her original parents damaged her into nearly becoming a psycho. Roland probably became the needed outlet to keep her sane. His death was immediately put to denial in her mind because she simply couldn't take it. This DLC however shows the support she needed to finally overcome it, and move on. I applaud the writing whether my idea is correct or wrong.

I love how this ending from the DLC is actually better than the ending from the story mode ,it actually gave WAY more closure to the game after you beat it (and i get to beat Handsome Jack's ass AGAIN!) This DLC has it ALL!
As a person who used Roland in the first game, the nostalgia & sadness I felt when Roland pulled an Aeris, well a small fictional psychotic girl helped me grieve for a character I'd spent 6+ months playing as in the first game.
Those statues better be in Borderlands three. I don't care if it's in a picture or a pocket dimension, I want to see those statues in the (actual) third game!
It would be cool to see the other charterers walking around sanctuary like if you we're maya and you see zero and talk to him and he'll say something and yeah also when a friend joins that character that's been selected is not walking around sanctuary anymore and vault hunting
In borderlands 3 they most likely will be NPCs helping us. Like zer0 will be like lilith appearing to help us fight a boss, dashing in and out. Krieg like Brick running around slapping people. Just NPCs and quests with them. Gaige and Tina though those 2 need to appear together
This whole DLC was just an unbelievable finish to the story of Borderlands 2, and having recently completed the game and all the DLC in the Game of the Year Edition, I have to give full credit to Anthony Burch and the entire development team for closing off the story so brilliantly in such an unconventional way. This ending had all the humor, emotion and Claptrap that made the main story so compelling, and it gave a sense closure to the story in such a touching way. I mean, I'm a 20 year old guy, and moments like this got me all teary-eyed. And that's not to even mention how crazy the Handsome Sorcerer fight was without using special abilities. I wanted this final DLC boss fight to as epic as they come, so I went guns only, and I had pretty average gear. Turned into a 45+ minute insane battle like no other. Amazing. And that music...that MUSIC! Incredible! Just an outstanding finish to an incredible game, these developers are true badasses!
God Dammit, Mordecai! Make a Bigger Bloodwing Statue to outshine Roland's statue, why don't you? And Once Again, ClapTrap ruins everything for everyone.
As someone who played Mordecai and never touched Roland, I appreciate the bigger Bloodwing statue. They could've done a single statue with Bloodwing on Roland's shoulder or arm.

When you realize that during the memorial at the end, Krieg was sitting quietly off to the side on a rock. It's actually kind of strange seeing him be so quiet. Maybe deep down he respected Roland underneath all his craziness and the meat fetish.

Pre-Sequel has been announced that it take place from the perspective of Athena. Basically, after the events of BL2, Athena regroups with the Vault Hunters, and tells the story of how and why she's been working with Hyperion, which is where the gameplay takes place. It's similar to how BL1 and BL2 are Marcus' story.

Huh... perhaps. Remember that Jack used the original Vault Hunters and made Angel trick them into opening the vault and kill the Destroyer, so that he could get it's eye. Jack was always scheming from the beginning, and chances are it would've ended be even worse if Lilith, Roland an Moxxi "betrayed" him in the end.
All of Borderlands 2 literally could have been avoided had Angel just straight up said she's a Siren and Sirens can charge Vault Keys. But no, she decides to tell you right when she's about to die instead, not all the other times before that nope.

Imran Sallam It's not that we hate him, In fact a lot of people love him. It's just a running gag throughout the games that Claptrap is one of the most annoying characters in the game.
This moment just hits you right in the feels. Shows just how deep tiny tina is as a character. This is how you write a great ending. Turning a hilarious and crazy character into a relatable one with deep emotions.

She's in a couple others throughout the various DLC packs. Not the least of which being at the start of this very DLC pack she's one of the miniatures on the table along with Axton. I think she's also at the start of Hammerlock and Captain Scarlet DLCs
This DLC was terrific. Also, I felt much, much more pain playing it, and seeing Tina's inability to let go, and her opinion about Angel, than Roland's actual death.
Kinda shows the cycle people go through when accepting someone has passed away. Denial, bargaining, other things, but then eventually, acceptance. Really really hit the feels with this one
Seeing how Jack owned Hyperion, who created the New-U's, you can assume that he turned off Roland's respawning rights. Which is a pretty half assed explanation honestly. Hopefully Gearbox will do some sort of explanation as to why the original Vault Hunters treat death seriously, even though they've clearly used New-U's hundreds of times. Unless their rights expired or something.
Tina is one of my favorite characters,she has alot of funny moments and the things that come out her mouth are gold. But to see her actually go out of character and break down like that was really sad and reminds you of the world they live in,and how they use humor/jokes to mask the pain they feel.
I remember when first playing this and out of nowhere getting something in both of my eyes when Bloodwing appears to save Roland. The strange part is when I watched this again; sure enough something gets in my eyes again.
This still makes me cry, even watching in this in 2019 after completing borderlands 3, i really hope we get to revisit her world as an expansion in BL3, to see roland and bloodwing in the game, and the people who died in borderlands 3 brought by tina's imagination. would be incredible

Pre-Sequel has been announced that it take place from the perspective of Athena. Basically, after the events of BL2, Athena regroups with the Vault Hunters, and tells the story of how and why she's been working with Hyperion, which is where the gameplay takes place.
It's similar to how BL1 and BL2 are Marcus' story.

Huh... perhaps. Remember that Jack used the original Vault Hunters and made Angel trick them into opening the vault and kill the Destroyer, so that he could get it's eye.
Jack was always scheming from the beginning, and chances are it would've ended be even worse if Lilith, Roland an Moxxi "betrayed" him in the end.

All of Borderlands 2 literally could have been avoided had Angel just straight up said she's a Siren and Sirens can charge Vault Keys. But no, she decides to tell you right when she's about to die instead, not all the other times before that nope.

This moment just hits you right in the feels. Shows just how deep tiny tina is as a character. This is how you write a great ending. Turning a hilarious and crazy character into a relatable one with deep emotions.

This DLC was terrific. Also, I felt much, much more pain playing it, and seeing Tina's inability to let go, and her opinion about Angel, than Roland's actual death.

Seeing how Jack owned Hyperion, who created the New-U's, you can assume that he turned off Roland's respawning rights.
Which is a pretty half assed explanation honestly. Hopefully Gearbox will do some sort of explanation as to why the original Vault Hunters treat death seriously, even though they've clearly used New-U's hundreds of times. Unless their rights expired or something.

Tina is one of my favorite characters,she has alot of funny moments and the things that come out her mouth are gold. But to see her actually go out of character and break down like that was really sad and reminds you of the world they live in,and how they use humor/jokes to mask the pain they feel.
